mguerra Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 Re: Leg of lamb cooked in hay So is that hay dampened and in there for moisturizing?
TheNakedWhiz Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 Re: Leg of lamb cooked in hay The blog post he linked to pretty much explains it all.
Saison Posted April 15, 2011 Author Report Posted April 15, 2011 Re: Leg of lamb cooked in hay I'm putting this on the to do list.
mguerra Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Re: Leg of lamb cooked in hay Did not notice the link, got it!
johnnyboy Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Re: Leg of lamb cooked in hay I wish they would have included a photo of it finished. If someone tries it I'd sure like to hear about it. Personally, I'm a little hesitant on this one. I do like the smell of wet hay, and even the taste as I'm known to chew on a piece once in awhile; just not sure I want a mouthfull of it.
primeats Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Re: Leg of lamb cooked in hay John, I am with you. I've thrown enough bales in my youth, and spent enough time in barns to know I like hay.Not sure I could overcome the smell of it smoldering . I could hardly get past that description in the article, I also know not to knock something before trying it. It could be fantastic, but I don't think I'll ever find out!
slu Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Re: Leg of lamb cooked in hay I think the "hay" grown in Humbolt might have a better aroma!!
Saison Posted April 17, 2011 Author Report Posted April 17, 2011 Re: Leg of lamb cooked in hay That'd be one expensive leg of lamb.
