Fetzervalve
So, my KK is due in tomorrow and I can't remember what I read, are the cookers (tile grout) sealed at the factory or should I plan on that when it lands? Should I wait till after the 'break-in' (that's a (k) joke)
Porkchop
Re: Pre delivery ? Grout sealant Should I wait till after the 'break-in' (that's a (k) joke) hah! no break in is right! no tiles poppin' off! course all this "sealant" stuff would be unnecessary if you went textured! RAH! BLACK TEXTURED OTB RULES! but the tiled job are ok too...

Should I wait till after the 'break-in' (that's a (k) joke) I'm not sure how long it's been but it's safe to say anything shipped this summer was pre-sealed.. I'm sending out a container tomorrow and all those cookers are not only pre-sealed but come with a small bottle of sealer good for a couple of years... Firemonkey
Dennis, Have you given any thought to the alternative grout products that do not require sealants? There are several, but I was intrigued by the flexible (and impermeable) ones that were designed for areas with heated floors. When my cooker (alleged to have been produced in indonesia by a 70+ year old fugutive who has since fled to Mexico) finally drops all of its loose tiles, I think I might give this stuff a try. It cant hurt, since its designed for areas with some degree of expansion. http://www.floorheating.ltd.uk/grouts.php
