Heat Deflector / Drip Pan Options

Another problem with the single bottom drip pan as a skillet is it has really shallow sides. Good as a drip pan and depending on the cook I also use it as a combination heat deflector/drip pan.

Yea I abuse my drip pan - LOL - it can never again be used as a nice looking serving tray - that idea died a few cooks into it.

Tried to preserve my drip pan by wrapping in AL foil. Gave up that ghost about 3 cooks in. Never looked back. It, like the grates, develop a "patina" over time. Just roll with it.
