  1. I'd like to get one just for the coolness factor. Anyone ever seen one of these in action? I haven't measured my KK yet, but I figure if it will fit on a Weber, it'll fit on a KK. http://tinyurl.com/7dlbyfe grant
  2. I just got an email from Therm Omega Tech. Fred passed away last Friday. Here's an article about Fred's bout with ALS. Forgot the article URL: fon.gs/k5v4gu grant
  3. Re: Smoke Daddy Has anyone devised a way to hook this up to a KK without drilling a hole through the side of the cooker?
  4. Re: To Rotis or Not To Rotis I've had both for over a year, and have never used the large. Everything I've ever wanted to cook fit in the small.
  5. Anyone in the Cleveland area interested in sharing a pallet of the new stuff? grant
  6. Re: Happy Holidays to all Thanks, Dennis. Happy Holidays to you and yours.
  7. Just started Firefox in "safe mode". You guys are right, no wiki links now. Sorry for wasting your time on something so trivial. grant
  8. Just had my question answered Ignore the above post. I guess it just happens automatically nowadays. The two "wikis" in my message were linked to Wikipedia. grant
  9. I've been seeing more and more highlighted words that are links to wiki entries pertaining to the highlighted word. Are you folks actually adding code that creates the links, or does that just happen automatically on some forums and blogs these days? grant
  10. I purchased one of Dennis's original textured units. After about a year, over a couple month period, I noticed that around the back of the cooker cracks were forming. These eventually deepened to form large cracks, and I couldn't get my cooker to seal any longer. I sent pictures to Dennis. His immediate response was "My bad, I'll take care of you". I made up the difference between what I had paid and a brand new latest gen cooker, and within two weeks, my brand new cooker was chugging along at 250F! I hope this doesn't get my reply deleted, but the difference between Dennis's definition of "Lifetime Gaurantee" and "he whose name shall not be spoken" is immense! My mexi-K fell apart, and his response was "I'll send you some patching material". I won't even go into the wait time for a new cooker over there.
  11. OK sounds good so far, The thing that got me off the dime this time (I already have around 150# in my barn) was a friend of a friend was talking about "400 pounds or more!". Since I told him it was available - not a peep. If he backs out I don't think I'll be be getting a pallet (unless you want 100#) baxter
  12. I'm going to order a bunch, so if anyone in the area is interested...
  13. Remote Rotis Temp From the pictures you link to,it looks as though the transmitter hooks on to the end of the rotis rod that sticks out of a normal grill. How's that going to work on a KK? grant
  14. Re: Should we have a "I want to order" spot
  15. Dennis - I would like to buy a roti shaft with the spring as well. Getting tired of the rubber band routine grant
  16. Weber Holders? What are Weber holders and where can I get them?
  17. Just saw this message. Already thanked you in email, but it doesn't hurt to thank you again - so Thanks again. grant
  18. What's that silver cable coming out of the top? grant
  19. Re: I'm bummed to say the least. Delicious!
  20. Re: Arrrgggh!! EZQue doesn't fit!!!! I don't own many tools at all! grant
  21. Had my chickens all trussed up and secured in my EZQue basket. Had the motor hooked up and ready to go. Got the KK up to temp. Went out with the chickens and the EZQue doesn't fit in my cooker!!!!! One or the other of the two rods that fit on the EZQue basket is around 1/8 to 3/16 too long. I pushed in on the spring end as much as I dared and I couldn't get the other end in the hole no matter how hard I tried. I'm bummed to say the least. grant
  22. 40-50 sounds good to me. Now, or in a month or two, doesn't matter to me. Shipping to Cleveland would be a concern to me. Could you throw out a couple WAG numbers that you would not be held accountable for? How many bags per pallet. 40 or 50 lb? Cost per bag. Cost to send a pallet to the East Coast? grant
  23. Re: Status of kk lump? I'm also interested. I'm almost out of my stash of extruded charcoal lump and tamarind lump. Seeing as how people on that other site are still waiting for word on cost and availability (after a year), I feel that I may not have the opportunity to buy from that other company before I run out. What about that Jardine Ranch charcoal? Has anyone purchased any? If they have, how does one order? grant
