  1. Thanks for the response. I will start with the 4qt.
  2. Syzygies, which size do you find to be the most useful, especially for use as a bean pot?
  3. Sorry Tony B, I misread what you were saying. You are correct. If the legs are hollow, drilling them should be easy. If they are solid, drilling them will be difficult, unless you have a drill press. I suspect that they are solid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I am talking about using it as a smoke pot only - not for food. Drilling the air holes lengthwise through the legs, from the bottom of the foot to the inside of the pot, would not be easy. However, it would project the smoke deeper into the burning coals to burn off more of the volatiles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Dennis, you stated that you looked into designing a smoke pot with a tube that would project down into the burning coals. What if you just drilled one small hole in each of the three legs shown on cpwebb's Dutch oven above, rather than in the center of the pot? Would that accomplish your goal, and be sufficiently durable? Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. That one appears to have a pouring spout cast into it. Wouldn't be able to get a good seal. Most chicken fryers that I have seen appear to be deeper that a skillet, but not as deep as a Dutch oven. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. ckreef - search the Internet for an old cast iron "chicken fryer", in size 8 or 9. It is, essentially, a deep cast iron skillet with a lid. Drill holes in the bottom, turn the lid upside down, and put it in the KK. Since the lid it upside down, it gives you a concave surface to catch drippings without burning. Smoke pot, heat deflector, and no-burn drip pan - all in one durable unit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Turn the lid upside down and put it back on the pot. It would reduce the overall height of the smoke pot. Might allow it to fit in Beauty. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Perhaps if you made the flames orange or yellow? Also, you could italicize the font so that it has a slant, similar to the right side of the KK. Make Komodo bold, but use regular or a shadow font for "amado." This would emphasize the uniqueness of Komodo. Just a couple of ideas. This is not my area of expertise.
