I have a 19.5 and 23. I can cook for up to 60 people with both going.
When it is just my wife and I the 19.5 works beautifully.

Heavy foil is always a good stop gap. I use it often on my 19.5 and 23

Link to another member uncrating, this should be enough to have a skilled person create a crate for you. It is for a 23", but should be able to scale it.
Remember, the spin top comes off and the upper collar is trapped in between wood strips in the crate, the first pic shows this.
Another link to a 23, with different angles, etc for reference.

I cannot find any photo's of the crate, sorry

Good choice on the tile.
It is a well known documented fact that the pebble tile cooks better food.

Thanks for the explanation
I tried to cook baby backs, never could get them juicy. I gave up and now all I do are Spare ribs w/ the flaps or St Louis. More fat, super juicy.

What is the 3/2/1 method?
I cook ribs at 220 bone down for 2 hours, then wrap meat down, back on for 2.5 hours same temp. -
I use the BBQ GURU DigiQ, wired probes and fan. This has been my setup for years. It has proven to be dependable.

looks very good. of course pebble finish cooks better

Beautiful work. I especially like the attention to the grain patterns throughout the piece. Do I see a little craftsman mark above the top shelf in the upper right?
Yes, a gift from another friend on my 60th.

What is the stuffing ?

Ospho is a great product. It basically changes rust back to a black paintable surface. I used it for any rusty metal rehab.
You'll have success with that process.

I have used magic erasers, they work well, but fall apart quickly.
I have used zep for grease or dawn dish soap with a dobi scrub, both work well.
With any of the approaches, hot water is a key.

Bernzomatic weed burner 100% of the time.
low-n-slow - light a small bit of charcoal.
higher heats - light more.

great video

I enjoy using just olive oil, salt & pepper on spareribs.
250f, bone side down for 2 hours w/ smoke.
wrap in foil, meat side down, back on for 2.5 hours.the porky goodness shines and the meat is very tender.

How to move a Kamado to a backyard when there is cement pathway?
in Komodo General

I would ping Dennis on the method you are referring to.
I recall seeing photos of two guys using 2x4's and rope tied to each leg individually moving the base.
But, if you have a cement pathway, is it not wide enough to roll the KK sideways on it?
Or you can buy 3 sheets of plywood and leap frog the plywood sheets as you roll the KK on them.
