  1. More shots from the first viewing, it looked awesome.
  2. I think the back is the coolest looking part ever, couldn’t wait to see in person.
  3. I suspected the hardest part would be getting it off the center box that it’s shipped on. It wasn’t as bad as I thought, but it did take some effort and was the hardest part for sure. My 17 year old son helped me. He thought the grill was an alien, along with my wife and daughter as well. They weren’t prepared for what they saw 😂😂😂
  4. Alright guys, it finally happened. Ole Heavy is home and settled in. I’ve read all the previous posts about the day it arrives but it is difficult to understand completely until you live it. Fun day for sure and thanks to the forum so much, I was very prep’d for what was in front of me and it went super smooth. I did have surprises that I’ll share with pics. Here’s the beginning ...
  5. Frontline is my shipper as well cross country then hands it off to a local company. Good news is I just spoke with the local company and the 32 is in Richmond and will be ready for delivery tomorrow!!! Don't have a delivery window yet, have to call them in the am for that.
  6. Damn you’re on the inside lane right now. Not sure if I’ll be joining you for a burn in this weekend or not. Hope it works out and we can trade stories.
  7. I thought mine was on a truck cross country but turns out it was train. Got held up in Penn due to congested railway so that’s how mine slipped from Wed to Fri. Slipping by weeks is another story, not sure what happened there. Fri is still not confirmed for me though, I’m hoping they got it off the train and on a truck to Richmond for tomorrow or Fri won’t happen I’m afraid.
  8. Is yours scheduled for Fri also? I have a straight shot from my driveway around to back yard, all concrete rolling so I think I could almost do it myself. I have a buddy in waiting and my son so I’ll be ready with backup if needed. Can’t wait for that thing to get here!!!
  9. No!!! It’s in Baltimore now and needs to get to Richmond tomorrow for a Fri delivery. Crossing my fingers that happens and I have a long weekend to get to know my new oversized friend.
  10. If you look at the picture I posted above you can see the SS plugs on that 32, one on either side.
  11. Thanks for those details, I've noticed those SS plugs as well. I was wondering if my 32 will have those newer features on them. The pictures from the website when I purchased didn't show either the cold smoke port or the SS plugs so I'm hoping they're both included. We'll find out soon I guess.
  12. I have noticed a piece on some 32's but it doesn't seem to be on all of them so I thought I would ask the group. I've circled it in red below, what is this part? Also, anyone know why it's on some 32's and not others?
  13. Thanks Steve! Very cool, I see you’re in Norfolk. Which KK do you have? Go Hokies!!!
  14. @DennisLinkletter, is that a Tel Tru?
  15. I was wondering the same about the thermometer. It’s not a Tel Tru. Thought all KK’s came with a Tel Tru? Or is that one and I just can’t tell?
  16. From everything I’ve read you are plenty hot where you currently are. How long have you been doing the burn in?
  17. Definitely taking the day off to enjoy the delivery and setup. Gotta figure out my first cook that evening, probably something easy so I can get the feel of the new rig.
  18. I called yesterday to ask the shipping company because their website just says enroute. She said last Check-In was in Kansas and expects truck to hit terminal in Baltimore Mon. Then hopefully my house Wed.
  19. Thanks for the great tip @Pequod! Got the stops in hand! Now I just need a KK to install them on... 🤦🏻‍♂️
  20. Nice work! Damn, it looks really good. Love that blue. I’m pretty jealous I have to say. Just fired up my ole vision for burgers tonight still waiting. Hope you have fun firing it up for the first time this evening!
  21. That's awesome! Can't wait to see more. Seems to be a lot of deliveries being made this week.
  22. Good looking cook there! Did you end up selling your 32? Welcome back into the club! What's the delivery date for the new 23?
  23. Did you get it unboxed and all setup???
  24. It sounds like @ckreef has the original meater, I’ve read about all the issues reported with the first model. I’ve been using the meater + version and I love it, great results and really easy to use. Love that I don’t have to worry about wires hanging all over the grill. I’ve used it with long 12+ hour brisket cooks, quick high temp steak cooks (below 500 F) and stuff in between, always great results. I love that I can monitor from my phone too, using the cloud feature. I can be at the store or at a friends and keep an eye on my slow cook at home. Just my two cents, works great for me.
