Happy New Year! I see the post back from 2006 on the weight of the base without the lid tobe 253-278lbs. Is this weight for the base still accurate? Also, how much does the lid weigh by itself? Thanks for the help...taking delivery early 2012 and can't wait!

Strangely I am having a hard time finding a quality 5+ cup spritz bottle replacement. Local grocery and hardware bottles either too small or can't handle much more then water... Any ideas?

Re: Merry "ECC" Christmas to Me I am going to be trying the ECC with peach chunks for the first time. I haven't used any chunks before. Any guidance on how long it takes to get beyond the bad smoke and to the translucent smoke with the chunk?

Re: Coals take how Long??? Thank you...my concern is someone else opening the KK and reigniting it after I've shut it down (possibly injuring them, etc...)

Once I cut off air to the KK how long until coals burn out? Any general guidance appreciated!

Re: lighting the grill Switching over to a KK that is shipping today... If I am going to use a chimney to start my coals, do you set the chimney on a grid while in the KK? I don't have a side table or ground area suitable to set a chimney...
