boom Posted April 7 Report Posted April 7 Bit of a long shot, but is there anyone on the west coast that would be willing to part with their crate for a reasonable pile of cash? I'm shipping from Seattle to Sydney and would love to find something purpose built for the journey. Barring that, are there any crate designs I could share with a local builder? Thanks!
Tucker Posted April 8 Report Posted April 8 I may have some photos from when I received my various cookers. I will look for them. I did find a picture of the support blocks, it only shows down to a 23" size, but you should be able to use the design modified to fit under the cooker.
C6Bill Posted April 8 Report Posted April 8 I wonder if this is something @DennisLinkletter might have available ? Or sell this one and buy a new one ?
Tucker Posted April 9 Report Posted April 9 Link to another member uncrating, this should be enough to have a skilled person create a crate for you. It is for a 23", but should be able to scale it. Remember, the spin top comes off and the upper collar is trapped in between wood strips in the crate, the first pic shows this. Another link to a 23, with different angles, etc for reference.
DennisLinkletter Posted April 11 Report Posted April 11 Please give me a call if you have any questions.. Too expensive for me to ship an assembled crate without a grill in it. I suppose I could ship one in pieces; there would still be the trucking from Vegas. Call if that interests you.. Would arrive in June. 1
