Jackie from Jersey
I'm sure I can convince my husband to store a pallet at his shop in Fairfield as I know that Sparta is in the boonies.
DennisLinkletter
Trucking Rates The trucking rates to a Sparta terminal or business with loading dock or forklift is 48¢ per Lb for the 28 box (over 600lb) volume. Please write and ask to get a quote for other volumes. I'll also get a Fairfield quote..
Jackie from Jersey
What a surprise! I get the highest shipping quote. Of course I'll need others to share. Somehow 600lbs seems a bit excessive for one person. Where are those NYC people you sold to? Come on guys, lets share! My husband's shop is in Fairfield with a loading dock. That's only about 40 minutes from the city.

spartanvet88
I live in Newton NJ and although I do not own a KK I'm interested in the charcoal. what would the final price/box be? I can pick it up at fairfield and/or Sparta. I'm in the process of saving my "pennies" to get a KK!
Jackie from Jersey
Hey Joe, shoulda got back to you. Sorry. As soon as I get the dirt, I'll let you know the final price. And WOW, a Newton person. I'll let you know as well. Thanks, don't think I would do an entire pallet solo.
JoeNY
No problem Jackie. Just do me a favor and drop me an email when you place the order. If I don't hear from you in the next week I'll assume you're not going to do it an I'll place an order with Dennis.
Jackie from Jersey
I do want to share a pallet, but haven't received an exact quote from Dennis. Don't give up on me.
Jackie from Jersey
Me again. Just sent an email to Dennis to confirm an order. Will let you know when I receive a reply.
spartanvet88
How much are you ordering? I'm interested in 5-10 boxes depending on how much you have to order.
Jackie from Jersey
I assume a 28 bag pallet. Joe will take 10 & we could split the rest if you like.
spartanvet88
Sounds great! Let me know when you have the details. Thank you.
JoeNY
No problemo. Just let me know when you have it figured out. I know someone who will buy five boxes if you like.
Jackie from Jersey
And Joe, your buddy can share in our pallet if everyone wants less or if more people want to share, I guess we could order another pallet. Haven't heard a final answer, but if a box is $20.90 & shipping is $.48 a lb & there's 28 boxes to a small pallet, I think it's $880.88 or $31.46 a box. Sanny
I bet that "pallet" is a relative thing. Don't know for sure, of course, but I price suspect that you can get more than 28 on one shipment, and still get the break for 600 lbs., even if less than 1000 lbs. I don't think that it's multiples of 28 boxes only. Ask Dennis. The charcoal is in boxes (not bags) so they will stack nicely for trucking and delivery. Jackie from Jersey
Not positive, but I think a pallet limit is a pallet limit. If this is true at 28 boxes, how should we divide it? I'm game.
Sanny
Since I'm not sharing this one, I'll let you interested parties work it out. My input is purely speculation (not that I usually let that stop me! ).
Jackie from Jersey
The only reason I think so, is that my husband buys his materials in pallets & it's always a set amount. So, who knows?
BigT
Pallet Sharing I am in Greenwich, CT. What's the latest with sharing?
Jackie from Jersey
Well heck, I don't know. Should we buy a 28 box pallet or a 45 box pallet. Breaks down to 600lbs or 1000lbs. What do people want?
