spartanvet88 Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 My new KK was delivered today at 12 pm eastern time, words cannot express the beauty! I look forward to contributing more to the forum (I'm mostly a lurker) here are the first photos. The weather is not that great in NJ so the first accessory I used was Johnyboy's cover! My four legged friend "Otis" is anxious to try it out also! Carlos Quote
Firemonkey Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 And you were worried about getting it moved?? lay down a couple 2x4s as rails and let the beast pull it like a sled! It'll be on your deck in no time. Quote
jdbower Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 Congrats! I kept getting weird reactions from people when I told them I got a grill in the beginning of winter, if only they knew how well it cooks even in sub-freezing temperatures! Quote
johnnyboy Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 Beautiful Cooker Carlos!! Love how it matches the house trim.. Quote
Sanny Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 What's that white stuff all over the ground? I'm in NJ, and we've got none of that (yet). Did they deliver that with your cooker?? EEK! Quote
spartanvet88 Posted January 9, 2009 Author Report Posted January 9, 2009 Thank you all for the welcome, Jackie, I went to Jerry's seafood and splurged on 3 huge ribeyes! More pics to come! I think I'll leave on the patio for now until the weather is better. The truck driver brought it all the way back in my yard with one of those hand driven forklifts, piece of cake. Quote
jdbower Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 Knowing a little something about the habitat of the animal ribeyes are SUPPOSED to come from I wonder what exactly you bought at that seafood store... Quote
spartanvet88 Posted January 9, 2009 Author Report Posted January 9, 2009 They sell amazing seafood there and recently started selling wagyu beef and kurobuta pork also. Quote
spartanvet88 Posted January 9, 2009 Author Report Posted January 9, 2009 I don't know them that well, in fact I don't think I've ever seen them. The other place I like to go to is Alpine Meats in Blairstown. Quote
spartanvet88 Posted January 10, 2009 Author Report Posted January 10, 2009 The steaks were just OK, not even close to Lobel's (I'm placing an order as we speak). Sorry no pictures but I was mesmerized with the snap crackle and pop as the steaks were searing! They were a perfect medium rare but not special. By the way the dogs got their share. Too bad it's going to snow tomorrow but there's always Sunday. Quote
Conodo12 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Spartan - What a magnificent beast! Oh and by the by, you've got a pretty good looking dog there too! Congratulations on the arrival of your KK! Quote
