maherussell
I know Tamarind is used for cooking and for making charcoal. So my questioned can probably answered by Dennis. I just cut a very large Tamarind tree and wondered if the dried wood would be good for smoking?

I just cut a very large Tamarind tree and wondered if the dried wood would be good for smoking? It makes great charcoal,, One of the more popular ones here in Indonesia. I don't know how I forgot it when testing smoking woods,,
maherussell
Re: Tamarind I guess I will take the advice of testing. It will be a little while before I post a result as I have to let this stuff dry. One thing I can say is, it is very dense and not easy to cut without a chain saw.
