Did my break-in high temp soak yesterday, so I could do my first high temp steak sear today. I can't believe how easy it was to get the KK up to over 800F. It was amazing! Here's the food porn. Those stripes just gave me an idea...Dennis, you should have your sear grates incorporate a 2 inch "KK", thus branding (pun intended) the meats...
