Hector
I picked up the new Komodo tonight. What a beast it was packed fantastically, great instructions and only took me 1 1/2 hours to unpack, set up and dismantle the crate. I've not used it yet but it looks like a huge disco ball in the Photos to come, just got to downsize them ......Thanks Dennis! Won't let me add anymore reasonable res photos. tony b
Nice pic of the grill, but remember to post pics of the virgin cook! No pictures, it didn't happen.
Smokydave
Hector, I have the same one (one table only) and couldn't be happier. I love the bronze--in the right sunlight, sometimes you can't tell what color it is! There's nothing like it anywhere in the market. Good luck! Hector
Here is the first cook on the Komodo. She's a cookin' Sher Wagyu Eye Fillets with just Salt and Pepper. All we can say is OMG! These are the best steaks either myself or wife have ever had. Incredible flavor, juicy inside and a crust on the outside. Thank You Dennis Hector
tony b
First, thanks for sharing the pics. All I can say is "we told you so!" This thing is amazing. Wait til you do your first whole chicken. No better way to cook one than on a ceramic - IMHO.
Hector
Tony We have a full chicken and I plan to use Plowboys Yardbird Rub. The only problem we have is that we have a Total Fire Ban for the weekend due to high temps....over 40C Hector
Hector
Couldn't resist, so we cooked up the last pieces of the Wagyu. Awesome Sher Wagyu Eye Fillet, great marbling Cooked the steaks at 650F this time. Probable had a little too much flame lick. Next time I'll use the half basket, cook over direct hear for the sear marks, then I'll move to the indirect side. Again these steaks were fantastic, so much flavor and so moist. Full chicken is next on the agenda. Hector
DennisLinkletter
Wagyu has so much fat/drippage that it creates a lot of flames are flare ups.. Nature of the beast. They look tasty.
tony b
Crazy that you know about and can get Plowboys Yardbird down under!! One of my favorite rubs - have the beef (bovine bold) and the chicken (fin & feather and yardbird) in my pantry right now.

I have all the Plowboys above plus Tatonka Dust, Mad Hunky, Byron's ButtRub, Cimarron Docs, and a few of the Big Poppa range. Also love the Blues Hog range of sauces. There are some great things out there Hector
MadMedik
Looks great. The half basket and indirect sound interesting. I don't have the half basket setup. Wonder how that will work for you? If you can't burn coals for KK, you may have to move, LOL

tony b
Not as funny now that the Admin deleted the SPAM posts. But I can't let a good pun go to waste, so I moved it to the SPAM post.
