jhw7931 Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 I love coffee and would love to see an accessory that would use the rotissery to roast coffee beans. A stainless steel basket with swing open door would be ideal. The KK can do so much, so why not roast coffee? Is there onyone else who would like to see this or only me?

As far as roasting coffee beans, I'd think that you'd pick up too much smoky flavors that would overwhelm some of the milder coffee flavors, unless you're going for a really dark roast/espresso. The pictures are using a gas grill, which would probably make more sense for a lighter roast. But, having never done it, I'm just guessing.

I'm well down the espresso rabbit hole...but being able to use my KK to embark on coffee roasting at home would allow me to go deeper
mguerra Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 I use a Gene roaster and it is my favorite of all I have tried. Using the KK would be fun, especially after you are finished with your meat cook. The KK is fired up anyway, so roast a batch. It would be a minor PIA to use as a primary roaster though.
