cruzmisl Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 or should I say log of lump? Picture says it all. I took a pic on the grill for reference
Curly Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 You sure you didn't cook that butt a little bit on the hot/long side
LeadDog Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 This one is just hilariously huge. I wonder if it will fit in a KK? And how long would it burn?
Curly Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 yeah, that musta ben from one a them forest fires
cruzmisl Posted September 21, 2006 Author Report Posted September 21, 2006 Is that a stump or what? I thought mine was big...........at least for a commercial bag of lump it is.
LeadDog Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 We make charcoal from stumps. The charcoal pit has a wall that needs to be repaired before we make our next load and I think that is a cause of this stump not breaking up. I had never seen a stump come back out of the pit looking like this. The rest of the stumps cooked into nice size lumps like what you normally see. I would bet if I busted the stump up it wouldn't be charcoal in the middle.
tcoliver Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 Speaking of Lump... Dennis how is the coconut lump project coming???
Curly Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Re: Speaking of Lump... Dennis how is the coconut lump project coming??? Can we get some of the moldy stuff, they really rave about it over at the other place
leeherd Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 C'mon Curly. You know that isn't mold. It's the Rx-86 coating. Designed to give the lump extended burn time with furry flavor crystals.
Porkchop Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 oh wow! you had me at "furry flavor crystals"!! hahahahaha!
