egmiii
I assume you have cooked this pot pie in the oven many times before receiving the KK. It looks way too good to be a first cook! Can you elaborate on how the different cooking methods impact the dish? Many of your posts are a dish that I would ordinarily bake/roast in an oven and I'm quite interested to hear your opinion on how the KK experience differs. MacKenzie
If I'm using a casserole with the lid there is no difference between the oven and the KK except if it's summer the kitchen doesn't get heated. If the lid is off then you can pick up some smoke other than that I don't notice any difference from my gas oven. Then of course if the casserole is in the KK the oven is free for something else. I really think of my KK as an oven that doesn't dry out things.
egmiii
Good to know. Thanks for the feedback. I plan to use my KK as a warming drawer during our annual Christmas Eve Day party. Lots of capacity, and like you said, it frees up the oven for other things.
