Using wood chunks

Are wood chunks used with charcoal in this grill?    If not how is smoking done? 
Yeah mate just mix them with your lump or throw them on .I'm getting the cold/hot smoker which should give me the thin blue quicker

Lots of folks here use a smoke pot, basically a dutch oven with some small holes drilled in the bottom. Here is one of the threads: Smoke Pot

No, complete waste of time. You don't produce any smoke until you dry out the chips and then they burn up just as quickly as if you didn't soak them. Use larger chunks. Best source that I've found - Fruita woods.
