  1. Welcome Turtle! Where in Florida are you. I live in Pensacola or actually Gulf Breeze...the Panhandle...or more accurately geographically and culturally / spiritually....Baja Alabama! twharton Gulf Breeze, FL "Where thousands live the way millions wish they could" And this my soon to be delivered (2 weeks Dennis?) which I have been told is coming earlier than expected!
  2. So do you usually prepare spam 'low and slow' or seer it?
  3. I Want The Stutter Cure Accessory Too! I've got worms in my Apple......
  4. I Want The Tile Lady Accessory Too! Are they compatible with the Guru so you can control their temperature or even better can you just deliver them pre-set to SEARING HOT? twharton Gulf Breeze, FL "Where Thousands Live The Way Millions Wish They Could"
  5. Payment... I have been told by Dennis that he does use Paypal which will let you use any major CC twharton
  6. Motley Fool....I am a charter member and highly recommend the Stock Advisor subscription which gets you access to the general and newletter boards. They have 4 other subscriptions.... Hidden Gems...recommend Rule Breakers...not really Inside Value...no experience Funds....??? If you haven't read their initial book you need to. The Motley Fool Investment Guide, originally published in the late 1980's. The stock recommendations / research are fair and devoid of any hype or vested interests of the publisher. The philosophy...long term, good valued and well managed companies....is priceless. The cost is tax deductible and some of the hundreds of stock and general info forums on the boards are worth the price of subscription alone. Check out the BMW Method (BuildMWell) and learn the joys and glory of "CAGR"...Compound Annual Growth Rate" and how it works for you with established companies. O.K. so the other O.T. info....I am deeply into Elder Scrolls Oblivion IV on the 360 now...just finished the main quest last night at only level 5. I've finished GRAW on all levels...have GUN...Saints Row....Medal of Honor...Perfect Dark Zero..and whatever he main driving game is...maybe some others but can't recall. I love the online play but got the real world that cuts into time to play (family and job). Any more games would be a waste because I can't find the time to play. I am looking forward to popping a cap in your ass in the near future.
  7. POLL CHOICE You screwed up and didn't have that as a choice on the poll. This is the only correct answer. If she's cool about you paying $2,000 for a grill, whether it's a financial question or not, then get what she likes. That's what I'm doing (delivery end of this month!) twharton
  8. THE ANSWER IS.... YES! Thanks for asking and glad I could help! twharton
  9. Oak Staves That sounds like a great potential buisness opprotunity for you. 1st test / create a batch 2nd Review...distribute to some of the west coast KK's + Naked Whiz and if all checks out....go. I mean if they are throwing away tons of it....have them deliver it to you. I'd love to try it! twharton Gulf Breeze, FL
  10. Thanks for taking the time for the great information. twharton
  11. Porkchop's Reason's Would you be willing to share those reasons oh wise one? I'm trying to gather as much info before delivery of my KK in about 3 weeks. Also just for laughs most of you know I first stumbled across the brand X kooker a month ago. They were going to 'rush' tile samples to me. Well I suspect I'll have a few cooks under my belt before (if ever) that happens. Their probably trolling this forum but then probably not that smart. Thanks again for steering me in the right direction Porkshop. twharton
  12. Thanks..Uhhh...Who is Tony? Can't wait to see the new site but I really can't wait for the impending delivery of my baby! Thanks...twharton
  13. Just NOT in Time for mine. Yeah Yeah I'm whining....so Dennis how do I get this for my unit arriving end of November (this month). Me gotta have! Let me know please. Thanks...Tom twharton

    Tri tip

Details Please!!! So you seared it at what temp and for how long on each side? What did it weigh? What temp did you reduce it to and for how long to get it to 125 inside? All I ever do in prep to sear is coat in olive oil and gind salt and pepper on both sides. I'm still using my weber but my terra cotta Supremo is arrving early Dec. right Dennis? twharton Gulf Breeze, Fl
  16. I'm Too Chicken To Go To War... ....until the outlaws leave Sunday morning.
  17. Tags OK so put me on your invite list as 'twharton', I realized I didn't need a witty moniker when it was assured that all would bow down or die (in the virtual world) in my presence! Really I suck but who cares anyway. The gauntlet it thrown. If only I could get my inlaws to leave so I could get back to fun! twharton
  18. Terra Cotta Here's my new baby...shipped last Thursday 10/19 so I'm expecting early Dec delivery! This one's sold TO ME so you'll have to get the next one. Gloating & Eager here in Gulf Breeze, FL twharton "Where thousands live the way millions wish they could."
  19. Rhinoguard... It is available in tints. Call the number and speak with customer service and they will answer all your questions. There is another product (Wood Defense as opposed to Marine Wood Defense) The marine is about 10g more expensive but formulated for the harshest conditions and hey...if none of us here didn't want the best quality then well....we wouldn't be here. Also explore the website. There are tints / shades available I just wasn't interested so haven't investigated. twharton
  20. Preserving The New Look Teak - Stay Away From Teak Oil For those of you interested in maintaining the original look of teak before it develops the silver patina...There is only one product on the market. It's is Rhinoguard Marine Wood Defense. Teak Oil is a generic term that usually contains a base of linseed oil and some kind of tint which is often used motor oil! The product referenced above will penetrates the wood and for longevity has UV protectors. I have a 15 ft long teak table, 10 chairs, 2 teak chaises and 1 small teak table that sit outside in the FL weather year round. A gallon costs $65 delivered but I have put 3 coats on all the stuff above and have about a quart left over. If you get some make sure you get the clear coat. You will be surprised upon mixing and opening as it is the color of mocha ice cream and the consistency somewhere between a thick milk shake and syrup. Here's the link. http://www.rhinoguardmarine.com/products.htm
  21. Great becuase now I know I got a decent deal and I won't bother taking any pics for comparison. Many thanks! twharton
  22. My wife and I were in New Orleans over the weekend and while walking through the Whole Food Company (organic grocery store) in Uptown New Orleans, which is not known for its low prices, I spotted a natural lump charcoal for sale in 8.8 lb bags for $4.99 I'll include a photo of the bag later. I'm not sure what the bags of Cowboy Lump weigh but I pay $8 / bag at Wally World. I'll send pics of both this evening and burn some on my RED kettle later this week. Maybe Naked Whiz could do a review if it's not made by the same folks, just in a different bag. twharton
  23. How Does It Taste? What variety of wood do you fabricate the pallet and crate out of and how does it taste when you use it to smoke your meat on the KK? If you tell me you've never tried I choose in advance not to believe you. Looking forward to early December! twharton "I'll try almost anything once.
  24. It's not the chips...it's the operating system!
  25. MAC Daddy I AM!!! You sure did start something else. Ever had your fire go out while cooking, or your computer lock up and crash while playing solitare? Not me...not ever...since 1983 a Mac Cult Member. twharton
