  1. This week maybe This week for me and I promise photos throughout the uncrating process.
  2. Nator

    Ribs?

so...how do you guys cook ribs?
  3. Saunka, Which were better Step 3. I rubbed 2 of the 4 monster chops with this rub and 2 I left plain Which did you prefer?
  4. It is written Yes I was provided with documentation I was kept up to date (almost daily) I was offered my money back, I was offered a Classic to be delivered up from FLA to use while I waited for the next boat and was even offered Tony and his escalera to help move things around. Finally, since I refused all of that, Dennis offered to work an arrangement on some accesories I want. BTW Tony....I may still need some help when the OTB makes it here.
  5. Murphy is a jerk notice Dennis mentioned the very patient Nator. I am ready for this to get here. I have 20 boxes of Mexi-K CEL, 3 of the big bags of Wicked Competition, a new thermapen, elbow length heat resistant gloves and have read every ceramic cooker recipe, tip and FAQ that I could find on TNW's site, Porkchops site and others. I've sent pictures of the cooker to friends, family and co-workers and get asked about it at least 3 times a week. I've submitted my Stoker essay hoping I am one of the lucky winners on June 8th. I got the IT guys at work to give me a special proxy so I can get around the blocks and check my Hotmail account during the day waiting for the "Mike, Its on the way" email. Dennis and I communicate more often than my wife and I do. We are once again in the hands of the customs folks but should clear any day. I will take a bunch of photos (crating, assembly, etc..) since I know many of you are waiting for yours or contemplating joining us KK'ers. Dennis, thanks for keeping me posted and Gold's speed on clearing customs!!
  6. A seasoned group From your posts I would never have guessed either of you to be so seasoned, BBQ must keep you young at heart. I'm no babe in the woods...just turned 39. I am now fully expecting Drunk_J to post he is 72
  7. I'm a test case I unfortunately happen to be one of those problem shipments Dennis mentioned a few posts above. Dennis has kept me well posted and even offered to ship a classic up from Florida for me to use while I waited for another boat to meander its way across the Pacific. I turned down the classic loaner offer. I didn't see my benefit being worth Dennis cost for a few weeks of use. Plus, from what I've learned about Dennis, when my OTB arrived, he probably would have offered to sell me the classic at a price I couldn't have refused. I would have two very nice cookers and one less wife! I do check my email several times a day waiting for the news its on a truck and heading my way. I've recently purchased 20 boxes of Meci-K CEL, 3 bags of Wicked Comepetition lump, neoprene gloves and a thermopen. I'll post pictures when she gets here.
  8. Saw a posting for these guys on the Mexi-K site http://www.rocksbarbque.com/products.html There is no pricing on their website but seems pretty advanced and you can connect it to the internet to monitor and control your KK from anywhere. Has a 5CM fan where guru offers a 10CM. Dennis, you should contact them to give them stats for the port built into the KK
  9. Dennis, Bracket Pics? Just reposting to remind Dennis we want to see pictures of his upper bracket. How much are they? Any in LA you can throw into my OTB shipment still?
  10. Escalera and LOS Tony, Carlos or LOS is the guy. Dennis should kick him a royalty cuz it was his pulled pork that made my wife say "you should get one of these". You interested in renting your stair climber?. I'm not sure how I am going to get my KK to its final resting spot. I wonder if Dennis' delivery guys will take a tip to put it where I want it? I almost bought a BGE simply because I could pay BBQGalore $65 bucks to deliver to my deck versus my fear of cooking in my driveway for 6 months.
  11. How Long? Tony, I think I got one that was about to be stateside for another purpose but was late so was available by luck. Dennis said should clear customs this week and make it to me next. You helped a buddy of mine get his mexi-k to his deck with your escalera a few years ago. He got lucky to catch you in a brief stint as the Atl distributor.
  12. Well...almost... I just finalized the purchase of a Supreme OTB and cannot wait to receive it. I have to tell you dealing with Dennis through the sale process has been great and he took time to address my never ending questions even responding to the rumors I read on the Mexi-K site. I've been shopping ceramic cookers since a co-worker wowed me with his pulled pork back in December. Mexi K, BGE, PRIMO (i even went to their factory store in ATL) all have been seriously considered. Mike in Atlanta
