These are indeed long term investments but I've found there are really no shortcuts.

I've been roasting coffee beans for ages with the Hottop Roaster. I have been happy with the results but I am no expert.

@Tony, a feast indeed.

@Troble, I agree getting back into KK cooking is just like riding a bike and you did a great job proving that point.

It looks beautiful and I'm sure you are going to find a world of difference from your previous grill both in performance and in the taste of the food.

I like these steamer pans two and they are also good for sous vide. I have a couple of false bottoms, different sizes that I use for heat deflectors too.

I just made some Kent Rollins cream of maters soup, turned out pretty good but I put to much cayenne pepper in it for my taste!
Oh no......

I think a lot of us were cut from the same fabric as Bruce.

There is a perfect spot in the garden just waiting for me to lug them out there. They are not going to see the inside of a KK.

Marc, welcome and what a beauty you have safely landed. Let's see some pixs of your cooks, I know I'm not alone in this.

Or use them in your garden as stepping stones.

Troble, you should be here we've had over 100cm in the last 3 weeks. That white stuff sure freshens things up. Those dark winter days become so much brighter and working out in that cool fresh air feels sooo gooood.

@Wobster, I have never owned a BGE but did own 2 different Primo grills, then moved to the KK. There is a world of difference between the two, not just the purchase price but the taste of the food moved to the next level when I bought the KKs. Not only that, there are no cracked fireboxes etc. to worry about. I wish I had bought the KK in the first place and saved the agony. I have never regretted getting the KK for one second.
