I bought something like that, MacKenzie. But it's an insert that fits into a steamer pan. It looks like a pan that Al Capone shot a bunch of holes. 

Just in case it rains the day before or the day of delivery, I'd get some OSB...Oriented Strand Board...to place on the bare ground.  Even if you think your ground it rock hard, the weight of the smoker will make those pallet jack tires sink. You can get  the OSB at Home Depot.  If you ordered a 32" the crate is 46"x46" and about 5 feet tall. It may not be that tall if the lid is in a separate crate, but if you ordered a lot of goodies with it, they'll be stacked on top of the big crate. You can easily cut the clear wrap and remove a bunch of boxes to lighten the load before you (hubby) moves it. The 32" itself is about 3 feet by 3 feet if that'll help you get by the AC unit.

Best of luck to you, husband and son and hopefully the delivery guy getting it where you want it. Don't be bashful asking the delivery dude to help you move it. That pallet jack is worth its weight in gold. 

I'm going to guess that most of the stuff you'll worry about won't happen. The delivery guys will most likely be willing to help you get it where you want it. A little encouragement $$ won't hurt either.  

You're right about getting it a lot sooner than I got mine...mine travelled from California to Louisiana.  Has your ship docked yet?

So what's the verdict? Was it tasty? That brisket looks very tender.

I got the 2 1/2" deep for the full size steamer pans and the 4" deep for the half size steamer pans.  I also bought the lids/covers for them.  You may have had a place in your town that sells them. And either size you bought will work fine. I didn't come close to filling that 4" half steamer pan.

They look really good. Very nice color on them. Are the pork shoulders boneless?

Another dish fixed in a pan. I used my doubled half size steamer pan. Doesn't sound right, does it? I grilled the chicken thighs first, then put them in the other goodies. Put a lid on it and cooked it for 3 1/2 hours at 275-300.  The last picture of the clean pan was showing that when you double the pans, nothing sticks. I rinsed it in hot water and rubbed it with my hand before it gets a serious wash. Anyway, the meal came out very flavorful. The extreme closeup of the served food was because my plate was so messy it was embarrassing. 

Looks great, Tony!  All but the bunny food anyway.

My ship docked January 6th and it was delivered February 3rd.  It was supposed to be February 7th but they called the morning of the 3rd and said we'll be there in 2 hours. There are lots of factors that determine the time it takes to receive it from the day the ship docks.

He's the BBQ version of Bob Ross.

These were our Super Bowl wings made with a homemade blackberry BBQ sauce/glaze. They were very good.

I bought 2 full size steamer pans from a local kitchen supply place. I put one pan in the other and now I have a double bottom pan to catch drippings and they'll never burn in there. I also did the exact same thing to a half size pan since it's big enough for a boston butt or a chicken. The huge advantage to the double bottom pan that Dennis sells is that it's shaped like the cooking grate.  But I was too cheap to buy it. 

The answer is the incredible increase in costs for Dennis to ship these smokers. So being the genius that he is...he invented the wheel, the light bulb, and the Ronco Pocket Fisherman....he decided to take the lid off of smokers and stack another smoker on top of it...crate to crate. Now he can lose less money in the shipping process. I believe the 42's still come with the lid on. SOME 32's will also come with the lid on since there may not be a smaller smoker to stack on top of every 32".  He does not stack a 32 on top of a 32. Just smaller KK's on top of 32's. 

I forgot to add..."How do I know if mine will have the lid separated?"  You'll get an email with a short video on how to put the lid on...only if yours is separated. No video, No separate lid. 

If Tony come down here, it would be to get my gumbo, crawfish bisque, and chili with beans recipe. He's a closet chili with beans lover. If fact, one time I heard him say that beans were good for your heart.

Another fan of pebbles! Glad to see you got the KK where you wanted it. The jiggle in the top vent can be modified (not sure if it'll cure it) by getting the spring out of the spring loaded toilet paper holder plastic piece. Now unscrew the top vent all the way (remove the cotter pin first) and place the spring on the threaded shaft. Screw the vent back in place and put the cotter pin back in. This will also cure it of moving when you open and close the lid after you set it where you want it. 

It's gunk. That gasket will last for years.

I need that crust recipe, please!

I'm loving it. All the room I need and then some. And it's still very frugal with lump.
