  1. No snow at my place. But we have received lots of rain. The pictures are of Clearlake CA. It is roughly 68 square miles in size.

Here is a picture of our marina from 1/19/2017

And here is one 4 days later on 1/23/2017

Oh yes sorry mate read about that we call them bush fires and when I was about 25 we lived on a farm that got taken out lost everything photos you name it .totally sucks but at least we are alive to tell the tale posessions mean nothing that's what I learnt from that experience lost a lot of things sentimental but I'm alive

    Outback Kamado Bar and Grill

That's the way we feel about it. I lost 2 home and everything inside and around them...but we're alive! I tried to fight it at one of our homes but it got into the treetops. When that happens its time to get the hell out of dodge!  It was the third worst fire in the history of California.

So the Fill it n' Grill it guy finally responded to my question:

I *think* what he means is that the 5/16" rod basket could be opened wider for 3/8 and then bend the tabs to make it narrower again, but that looks like a kludgy solution that will reduce the life of the basket.

    Still looking...

I haven't looked at the spit or basket but, would foil wrapped around 5/16" spit rod work? Sort of like a shim??

Paul, looks like you are well on your way to having lots of very tasty food. :) :smt023 :smt023

    Thanks MacKenzie. I'm having fun.

The wife and I were talking the other day and I told her I might need to move faster on my next KK. Trump might start taxing them. A couple days later she brought it up. I think a BB 32 is in my near future.

Never tried that low of a temp before but if I did......................use a super high quality lump charcoal,  light well in one spot, super control the vent settings and let the temp raise very slowly.

    Maybe CoCo Char??????

Agreed. Probably going to have to lite a golf ball size piece of charcoal. Do you have the cold smoke generator?

  6. Good weather and construction left me with only enough time for 1 cook. Ribs.

Rubbed with this. (I did go back and ensure complete and even coating)

Fired up Bob and was shooting for 250*. Probably averaged that. Temp crept up to 275* by the end.

    On the grill.

    About 3 hours in

    Almost done.jpg

Due to the 'thick-thin nature of baby back ribs one was done about 20 minutes before the other. The thin one on the plate. Too late, too dark, and two many beers for more pictures.

    They were pretty tasty!
