Re: My kk arrived !! Well the original menu got cooked on "old bess", but did the same menu on Esterdahl. Was going to put up pictures but was just too frustrated with trying to post them on here. The butts came out great, moist like i have never had before. Had some issues with controlling them temperature, these cookers really like to get hot! Never went over 280 degrees, so not much of an issue. I used lump charcoal, probably some of the control issues. Oh by the way i have seen Johnnyboy covers on here, turns out he lives just a few miles from me and has never seen a kk in person, he is invited over.

Hi everyone, finally got the picture thing figured out, a quick course in computer science.... Anyway here she is and her name is "Esterdahl". Arrived in perfect condition and pictures dont do these cookers justice. Will post more later i hope. Thanks everyone on here for all the info etc!!

Re: Delivery tomorrow So now the plot thickens, i had to call the trucking company again today, told me that there was 1 box that was left in Chicago.... will be here today and he would call me at 5 pm.... wow so wierd, they we suppose to deliver it last friday????? If so they had it all then??? OH i don't know i am so confused now...maybe i get it tomorrow. Will keep you posted! ha ha

Re: Delivery tomorrow Well darn. Still no kk, trucking company called friday, lift broken, would be Monday delivery. Nope. Called trucking company today, they cant seem to find out where the truck is...... said they would call me back... still waiting

Re: Nearly Ran out of Coals during overnight cook HMM maybe take the "used" charcoal out, put in fresh charcoal, then put the used stuff on top and light?? I am just guessing that may work.

Re: Delivery tomorrow Sorry no kk, truck driver called and said his lift gate was broken, will have to wait till Monday. Its funny that these things happen on Fridays and Mondays isn't it??? OH well i am older and wiser now, and have more patience.

Re: Bison Ok i will try the bison, my kk was to be delivered today but the truck driver called and said his lift gate was broken, now i have to wait till Monday!!! Cooking my 2 pork butts as i write on my old smoker now. I will be happy to report back on the bison. Bison is very lean indeed, not much fat so it will be a learning expierence, but thats what we do right?

OK Between noon and 1 pm cst tomorrow, should have my kk. I have 2 butts rubbed and ready in the fridge. Will announce the name tomorrow!!!

Hi hope someone can answer my question. i posted a picture as an attachment, finally found out how by changing the picture to a bmp....anyway... i went to the usercontrol panel, manage attachments and under download there was the number 40. Does this mean that 40 people have downloaded that picture?? I dont mind at all just curious why they would want a picture of a hood ornament!! So if anyone who did download it i would like to know why, i am an amature photographer, just a fun thing that someone would want it, i have more lol!!

Re: Gonna buy one Monday!! OK Michael, i have pictures in my adobe photoshop. Find the picture i want, highlight it, then send it to "edit". When it is in edit, go to file at the top of the toolbar, on the drop down menu, click on "save as" , at the bottom below file name, get the drop down menu, click on bmp, that will make the file smaller. OH you have to go to the previous page to see the attachment pic i uploaded, its a hood ornament at a car show i went to. Hope that did not sound to complicated, its really not.

Has anyone tried a bison brisket? I have a local farmer that raises bison, any and all cuts available to me.

Re: Where is everyone? Cook and post something Thank you for that and you are welcome, i would do it again! My central air is now fixed, parts and lobor for free from my good neighbor, could have cost me a bundle on a holiday weekend!!! Anyway he is in for Q the rest of the summer!!!

Was 1oo degrees here with heat index today, my central air went out of course. My neighbor is a heating a/c guy will fix it tomorrow for free, well i do have to pay with butts and ribs, but glad to do it. My kk may be here Tuesday!!
