Sanny Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Very handsome, Cozy! You've inspired me for Dad's holiday gift. (See your emailbox!)
jiarby Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Cozy... Can you call me at my shop?? I need a small set for a christmas gift for my wife's daughter if you have something in stock. 480 988 4389 Glenn
trish Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Jiarby...Did you post a recipe for a turkey brine a couple of years ago on the mexi-k site? Could you re-post it in our recipe section?
jiarby Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 yep, it's a ginger & orange blossom honey brine good on chicken & turkey. I think it is still posted there in the recipe section.
Sanny Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Jiarby...Did you post a recipe for a turkey brine a couple of years ago on the mexi-k site? Could you re-post it in our recipe section? Tish, I went fishing, and found it. I posted it on the forum, here. Hope you don't mind, Jiarby. If you do, Deej can delete it.
ChefJeff Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 Interesting Brine recipe. Hi Jiarby, I went to the link and the Turkey brine does sound great. Turkey is a once or twice a year event for me---but Chicken, that's another story. I probably do a Chicken per week. How long a sit in the brine would you suggest for Chicken? Thanks, Jeff
trish Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 I guess we have sort of hijacked this thread, but perhaps we already have takers for the mills. Sanny....thanks for getting that recipe. Very kind.
ChefJeff Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 Oops. I forgot to thank Sanny for posting the recipe. Belated thanx.
Chunkylover77 Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 U2PLT your work is incredible. I am saving up my pennies for a pair.
U2PLT Posted November 28, 2007 Author Report Posted November 28, 2007 Mills by U2PLT I am 78 so things are going to probably slow down. I make less than $.25 per hour for what I do, but it is my choice to make something lots of people say they like. I have a warranty that says you can send it back for refund if after you get and don't use it you get a refund except for postage. No questions asked or a run around like someone I know.....
Firemonkey Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 Re: Mills by U2PLT No questions asked or a run around like someone I know..... And thats why your business is not in decline, like someone we both know
Saucier Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 Hey, I recognize those~!~ Ya don't have to hide my name as a "happy bbqr" U2... Those mills are MINE! And they look even better in person then in the photo. I got one set for me, and another for a good friend for Christmas, but I dunno if I can part with the one set or not
Sanny Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 Me next! I sent Cozy a check just yesterday. Ho ho ho, indeed! I hope I'm able to part with them, though, or else I don't know WHAT Dad's present will be!
Saucier Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 Supply and demand Well Sanny baby, if it gets close to Christmas, and you don' have yours.... Maybe I would Fedex you one of these But of course you would need to get your CHECKBOOK out ( I am a devout capitalist)
Sanny Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 Thanks, Saucy! But, alas, I fear Dad would go blind with your beautiful grinders. Way too colorful for him. Plain wood, I think, is the way to go. And, since I don't live with him and I spend the holiday out of town, I have Christmas with Dad a little after Christmas. That gives extra time. I do appreciate the offer.
jiarby Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 Cozy does plain wood pretty well too... Curly Maple with Coco-Bola... This photo is one of my set of two. Plus I have the Texas State Fair winner's brother...personally delivered by U2PLT himself (although he now flys commercial)
Sanny Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 Jiarby, that's what I've asked Cozy to make for Dad. Safe and simple, and gorgeous! I always knew you were a man of exquisite taste. Handsome photo of you and Cozy, too!
