DennisLinkletter
I'll post more photos soon but this is the new valve setup as the stock ones were just too problematic. All US thread sizes now..
Conodo12
Nice fixes! It really dresses up the gas burner option and adds to the functionality. Quick question, what kind of temps are most folks getting using the gas burner option solo? Anyone doing this? Also, has anyone changed the burner from LP to Natural Gas? Any difference in the output? Thanks again!
johnnyboy
has anyone changed the burner from LP to Natural Gas? Any difference in the output? Yes......., NG doesn't burn up dollar bills so fast!!!! Just kidding. I have NG but unfortuantely can't compare to LP as I've never used it with my smoker. I only use the gas option for lighting charcoal. Do you really think you'd cook with gas only? And if so, why?
Conodo12
I was thinking for baking only - pizza, bread, etc. Anyone doing this? Thx again!
tcoliver
Yes, when I do pizza (every Friday) I only use gas. I do however use an adjustable regulator and can get temps around 600 deg.

tcoliver
It actually is all factory stuff except I use an adjustable 0psi-20psi regulator in lieu of the standart 10psi non-adjustable regulator. Here is a pic.

Here is a pic. Tony, is that for NG or LP? or does it matter? I'd like more pressure out of my NG so I can use my burner to also light my outside fireplace!! I've tried, but with the other manufacturers device it takes forever, a firestarter works much faster.
tcoliver
Mine is for LP but I'm sure you can get one for NG too. You could also probably buy just the regulator and then attach it to your hose for NG use. Mine came with the hose attached.
