SuperMighty
Hi all. I've been reading this forum regularly for a few months and decided to get myself a KK. I'm a forum reader not poster. However, I felt compelled to share my positive experience so others exploring, like me, can be assured the KK is all it's hyped to be. I must admit, I had concerns about making a large purchase like this over the internet. The many amazing innovations where certainly impressive. However, it was the many examples of terrific customer service that swayed me to make this purchase. Anyway, I just received my grill and it is absolutely exquisite. Attached are some pictures and you'll see it's a stunning addition to my patio. I've seen a lot of talk about teak side tables - I think a simple teak table next to the cooker looks great and doesn't take away from the streamlined aesthetics. By the way, I've experienced great customer service first hand. My KK had minor damage to a few tiles near the back hinge during shipment. Dennis called me immediately, has materials on the way and is sending me step-by-step picture directions to help me make the repairs. He is actually simulating the damage to my cooker on one of his cookers to create the picture directions. I was impressed by the quick response, but even more by the passion and enthusiasm that was evident. Dennis is really excited about what he's doing and passionate about making sure his customers are satisfied. Wow - that's a rare commodity these days. Dennis, thanks again for making my buying experience so positive. P.S. All this praise and I have even cooked anything on my KK yet. Imagine my glee after pulling out my first meal - LOL. Cheers, John from Richmond, VA
ThreeDJ16
Wow! Very nice setting John. Looks like your KK has found a beautiful home. How about some larger pics when you get a chance; I would love to see more? -=Jasen=-
samantha
Mr. Happy Great photo.....the table helps to give perspective for me as to grill height. It appears to be a little higher than the table is that correct? About 30-32 inches? samantha
Curly
Is that a teak table made by Dennis?
SuperMighty
I haven't measured, but grill height at 32inches seems about right. It's a perfect size - not too big, not too small. The teak table is not from Dennis. I bought it locally for cheap. I prefer not having side tables attached to the grill. In my opinion, it really takes away from the asthetics. The teak table is an easy solution that looks nice.
ThreeDJ16
I agree! I agree, but unfortunately I have a tiny backyard with with a small pad I made just for the grill (no room for anything else). So for me the table is not an option; only built on side tables. I do think the contour matched teak wood side tables will look nice. Especially with the teak dome handle, teak draft door knob and scraper handle all matching the side table. I still agree that it is best with nothing, but I think it can be nice with side tables too. -=Jasen=- BTW, how about some larger pics of your entire back yard? It looks very nice. Curly
Yep, I can build a table, rather have that big ole pregant woman shape without the wings. I think Firemonkey has already ordered handles for everything to match his salt shaker and pepper mill
