Greg_R Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Dennis, are you investigating a natural gas burner hookup for the KK? It would be nice to attach the KK to a quick disconnect on the side of my house (instead of dealing with propane tanks, etc.).
cruzmisl Posted July 20, 2006 Report Posted July 20, 2006 The burner that's supplied can't be ordered in natural gas? I don't own a propane tank.
Curly Posted July 20, 2006 Report Posted July 20, 2006 You can get one at any Home Depot/Lowes/Gas Station...they are everywhere. But, I can understand if someone has a gas hook-up and wood rather use it.
samantha Posted July 20, 2006 Report Posted July 20, 2006 gas burner I thought you just used a different interior jet (I think it was called a venturi but not sure) on the same burner. I converted my old gas grill to natural gas. Took the parts down to a local propane guy and he switched them out for me. The parts were pretty cheap and there was no labor charge (it didn't take 5 minutes)
DennisLinkletter Posted July 20, 2006 Report Posted July 20, 2006 Samantha is correct.. The hole can be driled out.. It needs to be larger for the lower pressured Natural gas.
Greg_R Posted July 20, 2006 Author Report Posted July 20, 2006 Sounds great! So I just order the normal gas jet and have the local propane store retrofit me? I'm going to need a longer gas line w. the quick disconnect anyway.
