They were probably about that heavy.... It is built like a tank.

I really enjoy cooking on this thing! I opened it once in 4.5 hours to check on the rack accross the top, it was fine.

This weekend I am going to cook a pork butt. I can't wait.

Re: Daughters third bday today( make that 4th.... She is another year older and my KK turned one this month Devin loves ribs and that is what she wanted at her party..... So I made Big Bob Gibson's sweet rib recipe (modified) and Brats. dogs and sliders fetch?id=67339

Thanks, that cook looked so good that I just went to the freezer to pull some ribs out for dinner, only to realize I'm out of stock.....hmpf. Bone-in ribeye it is.

Devin is 5 now.....and for her party it was beef ribs AND pork ribs....AND chicken....And burgers....wow....

Lots of leftovers to freeze....Mom made the cake

Great looking spread!

Love beef ribs, too, but by the time they're done, there's so much shrinkage that it seems like there's twice as much bone as meat! Lately been sticking to the boneless ones, doing them Korean style.
