DennisLinkletter
Leg-less Komodo.. For those who choose to build in their KK. This Stainless base will prevent the refractory material from wicking up moisture. The small legs keep it from tipping over. ;) n68402 n68401 n68403 n68404 n68406 n68405

DennisLinkletter
Re: New Leg-less Komodo.. Maybe you could make a cover with spring clips to cover the bolt? This was the first one we did.. and was going into a built in corner with a wall, so they would not be seen. I was not happy about the washer being taller also but it was hidden and so it went out like that.
trish
Re: New Leg-less Komodo.. Now that would look cool built into a teak cabinet/island, with drawers, doors, overhead bar with a light. When we will see that prototype? primeats
Re: New Leg-less Komodo.. Invert the legs, hiding the washer and bolt at the same time. Just a thought.

johnnyboy
Re: New Leg-less Komodo.. Naked Whiz Table Plans might be a good place to start. http://www.nakedwhiz.com/tableplans/tableplans.htm I've built covers for some quite fancy renditions of the Whiz's table where folks have incorporated drawers, pull out baskets, exotic wood slab tops, marble inserts, vertical pan slots, cabinet doors, etc.
