This was the first one we did.. and was going into a built in corner with a wall, so they would not be seen. I was not happy about the washer being taller also but it was hidden and so it went out like that.

Naked Whiz Table Plans might be a good place to start. http://www.nakedwhiz.com/tableplans/tableplans.htm I've built covers for some quite fancy renditions of the Whiz's table where folks have incorporated drawers, pull out baskets, exotic wood slab tops, marble inserts, vertical pan slots, cabinet doors, etc.
