Aussie Ora
Those look killer.. Do you happen to know/remember what one of those racks weighed? I'm tired of the tiny AU and NZ lollipop racks sold in Bali and a Jakarta supplier promised 8 bone racks that weigh about 2.2 lbs/1 kilo each.. Wondering how much meat they will have. But that might be a good thing. I'd say these were either hoggart or mutton by the size. Nothing wrong with them and cooked the way Shurley did turn out fantastic. It's basically lamb one year our younger, hogget is over one year and mutton an adultSent from my SM-P600 using Tapatalk

These were about 2 lbs each. Two racks and zero left overs for 4 adults and two small children.
Shuley
Those do look like good size racks of lamb. I would say the meal turned out perfect. The only problem with a rack of lamb is the price...its so expensive. My dad found these on sale for $5 a lb. we think it must have been a mistake because he tried to go back for more and they were marked up already! tony b
I typically get mine at either CostCo (plain) or Trader Joes (I like their pre-marinated ones.)
tinyfish
$5 Lb is a steal, I would have gone back too.
