FotonDrv
I went up 60ft and topped the tree where it was 14 inches in diameter to mount a weather station.

The swaying that the tree did when I wedged the top off its stump and it fell the 60 ft down was pretty impressive. A definite thrill ride and adrenaline was flowing, but not as much as running TOWARD machinegun fire... Now that is a rush!

But anyway still wouldn't do it... Lol I trusted my knot tying ability and the fact that I too am afraid of heights IF I cannot hold onto something. I once did some rigging on a cable that was going from a cliff top(maybe 150ft high) to a large rock/boulder about 300 ft offshore where the cable was anchored around the base of the boulder underwater. So that was a cable at about a 20-30 degree angle going down into the ocean. Hanging on that cable (tied off of course) was a super thrill when a wave would hit the cable and shake it!! That was an interesting project with electrical generation from wave action; it worked.
