MacKenzie Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 Thanks for that Gavin, I will likely give it a try. 1
Garvinque Posted January 22, 2017 Author Report Posted January 22, 2017 So I am going to add his video for the Cubano Sandwich to this thread because they go hand in hand. The only thing about how he made his sandwich is the spread used he does an mayo and yellow mustard combo, but the cubano sandwich I had when I was in Miami was yellow mustard only. I have to say I like the idea of his spread! Enjoy, Garvin
MacKenzie Posted January 22, 2017 Report Posted January 22, 2017 (edited) Thanks, Garvin. That sandwich sure looks extra tasty. Garvin- May I suggest that to the Cuban bread recipe you add the cooking time and temp. The only place I could find it was on the video. Bake at 400F for 20-25 mins. Garvinque Posted January 22, 2017 Author Report Posted January 22, 2017 Sorry didn't notice the time or temp of cook not listed-Good catch! Garvin

MacKenzie Posted January 22, 2017 Report Posted January 22, 2017 I have the starter in the fridge. I hope I don't jinx tomorrow's bake.🤗
MacKenzie Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 My first Cuban Bread is baked. Now I have to find something to make a sandwich. I went searching the deep freeze for a package of pulled pork and there is none. 1
Bruce Pearson Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 Mac that gives you a good reason to get some pulled pork on the KK 1

MacKenzie Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 Thanks, Bruce but we are due for a freezing rain storm. I need to wait for that to pass just in case we have a big power outage along with that.

tony b Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 Nice bread, MacKenzie, but we've come to expect nothing less from you!
MacKenzie Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 Thanks, Tony. Don't be fooled I can mess up.
MacKenzie Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 Made my sandwich, went to the store and bought more packaged meat than I have eaten in total over the last 20 years, all for one huge sandwich. The bread is cool and I sliced that 12 inch loaf in half for this sandwich. Toasted in my panini pan. Not a big fan of dill pickles so used some pickles of my own. Served with some Jalapeno chips. That sandwich was stuffed, now I'm stuffed. 2
