Made a batch of ghee today. Super simple process. I should have taken a couple of pictures. Will do it next time.

Way to go, Charles. 

LIke others, I started making/using ghee to do Indian food and just branched out from there. If I'm feeling lazy, I buy it at the local Indian market, but like you discovered, it's really simple to make, too.

No - stove top. I believe microwave will only get you clarified butter. Stove top to take it one step further into ghee.

Pan seared some crab cakes (Phillip's Crab House) in my homemade ghee last night. Definitely gave them  a nice buttery  crust.  Dang they were good.
