  1. F*** ME!!! You are right! (Forgive me, but I think one childish outburst in reaction is understandable, lol)
  2. 1 hour, 18 minutes, 340 degrees. I'd say this cooker keeps the heat in.
  3. I currently have 9 pieces of a certain other company's extruded coconut charcoal burning in my KK. 5 pieces are from an older vintage, 4 are from a current vintage. (I just wanted to be precise here...) The thermometer read 120 when I started (it is almost 100 here today, and the cooker is black, so it sounds reasonable). After 35 minutes, the cooker is at 270 degrees with vents wide open. (returning to my meaningless existence now.....)
  4. It's a Primo Cooker encased in SS. Rumor has it that at night it will run around on it's own saying "EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!" What a ridiculous product....
  5. I think I had to go back and change the review once someone told me about the grit. Good thing.....
  6. Like this? I don't know. In fact, I'd forgotten about this piece from the bag.
  7. Beware. Kingsford lump sparks like crazy when you are giving it air, but what is worse, the sparking leaves behind a gritty ash that gets on everything, including the food. You can feel the grit in your mouth. Not nice.
  8. My guess is that the trucking company will call you when it's there. Then you work with them to get delivery.
  9. Also, my review of the KK on my product review page shows how to install a guru inducer tube: http://www.nakedwhiz.com/productreviews.htm
  10. Yes, that website is indeed only referring to the www.kamado.com company, not this one. In general, I've seen very few complaints (well, maybe only one to tell the truth) about this company.
  11. The BBQ Forum has a rule that you can't say anything bad, so your post was removed along with U2Plt's. You can praise the KK, however.
  12. There is a thread just started comparing the various ceramic cookers. If it is allowed to stay, you might want to get your 2 cents in for KKs.
  13. Amen. Tsunami Spin is my absolute favorite! And you are supporting one of the nicest fella's in the BBQ Universe when you buy DP rubs.
  14. Nope, I don't know that one. Someone called and they wouldn't tell. Plus my local Costco didn't have it and I'm not a member anyway, so I'da had to steal it and run like hell....
  15. Yep, I did. It's under my Product Reviews page. http://www.nakedwhiz.com/productreviews/occb/occb.htm
  16. The hood and exhaust came after the stove. But sorry, man does not live by KK alone.
  17. I tried dropping the barrel, but I just couldn't take the laughing....
  18. I bought a Jenn-Air 36" dual fuel range. So far I'm happy with it. I got the one with the twin ovens: So far so good. The only thing I don't like is that black shiny porcelain top surface shows every speck of dust and grease and nose hairs and you name it. So, you have to clean it fairly often if you mind how things look in your kitchen. We had a minor problem with and got the repairman in. Turns out it was user error but the repair man did tell me that this was a very reliable model and that he almost never gets calls on it. Good luck!
  19. Hey, I got get some kind of compensation for wearing this barrel all the time, lol!
  20. Dennis, I'm looking forward to reviewing your new charcoals. Do you know when you will have production samples?
  21. Sanny, I've ordered some of the new Mexi K so I can do an updated review. It will be interesting to see how they compare. And, I've thought up a few new tests just for extruded types of charcoal. It should be fun!
  22. I left my tube out long because the old firebox design meant that the tube rested against the side of the firebox leg if you didn't back it out some. I"m not sure how far in you push the tube with the new firebox arrangement.
  23. Heck yes! Only I lost the original video files, so I couldn't redo it. Oh well. Maybe I should recreate the whole event, lol.
  24. Regarding smothering charcoal in a weber and using Kingsford briquettes, my personal theory is that since the Kingsford briquettes contain sodium nitrate as an ignition aid, that the briquettes are harder to snuff than lump or natural briquettes. Just a theory.....
  25. Gorgeous! I may have to change the color of my dreams, lol!
