  1. Need luck since I have no parchment paper. In my pizza Pizza oven the pizza goes right on the fire brick which is not that smooth. Oh well KK is warming up.
  2. Looks great as always CK. As Tony B said "gravy" . Gravy is like bacon it makes everything taste better. We're thinking the same thing today. The pizza I'm working on is a breakfast pizza. I hope it turns out.
  3. A little fear... I have my dough rising as I type. Going to try I pizza I have never cooked before. Let see what happens.
  4. Hello all. Making my first Komodo/kamado pizza's ever. I have a wood fired pizza oven that I would normally use. I don't have a baking stone for my Komodo so I will be trying to use the indirect stone that came with the KK. Can I use that indirect stone and how long would you heat it up for use. I am thinking about a 550f temp for cooking. Thank you
  5. On the Eggheads site ABT's are crazy popular that where I learned about them. I keep mine simple for now cream cheese, mayo, mozzarella, some rub and some left over pulled chicken thighs.
  6. Not much since its cooks for a short time. My charcoal doesn't have a very strong flavor profile.
  7. Great food, great view and I hope a great drink too.
  8. An old favorite some ABT'S with some corn on the cob and twice baked potato.
  9. Thank you Bosco. I have a postal box in Niagara Falls, NY but from Vaughan it's a little far so I save my trips for important items...Yakatori Grill may be important enough.
  10. Congratulations and what a nice gift.

Now your talking...what a great idea.
  12. Imagine all the food we could eat if we all had a big get together. I guess those Eggheads do something right with their Eggfests.
  13. I saw a thread for Key Lime Pie which I added to my to do list so I thought I would give it a go. First issue was in Toronto I don't think we have key limes at least my grocery store. I used regular limes instead and store bought pie shell. I needed more sweetened condensed milk but I only bought one tin so I added some buttermilk. The ingredients Ready for the KK Ready to come off Pre slicing Ready to eat Not to bad at all. Very easy recipe
  14. Way to go MacKenzie looks great. I have to get my act together and make some pizza's on the KK.
  15. I changed my mind on the colour at least three times. I don't think there is a bad colour. Just seeing Gofrogs/CK's colour I said "maybe I should have got that one" but they all look nice.
  16. Tony I have your same buying problem.LOL I said for $53 I'm in. I went to amazon.ca low and behold $144 plus $28 shipping http://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B003601SRA/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1439405855&sr=8-1π=SX200_QL40&keywords=yakatori+grill&dpPl=1&dpID=41EknroyqPL&ref=plSrch. I have to rethink this one or look for cheaper.
  17. I have two pizza's planned...thinking outside the box and a traditional pizza. Side note CK, for the one pot challenge I'm going with my stew recipe BUT I lost it. I have been tearing my house apart the last two days looking for the recipe.
  18. Looking good. Very nice char on those burgers.
  19. Opps I did the CC "Fat finger" on my cell phone.
  20. Very easy cook for sure. Crepes - makes about 15 3 eggs 1 1/2 cups milk 3 TBSP melted butter 1 cup all purpose flour Pinch of salt Whisk together all liquid ingredients then slowly whisk in flour and salt. Refrigerate for 1 hour to slightly thicken. I use a 8"-10" pan (10" pan but a 8" cooking area). Use medium meat and 3-4 TBSP (in a ladle) of batter per crepe. I brush the inside of the pan with a little butter each crepe. Cook about 30 seconds each side. I put the cooked crepes on a rack to cool for a minute or two. My filling 1 pound ricotta 1/2 pound mozzarella or similar 1 egg 1 tsp salt 1 tsp sugar Ground black pepper You can add some fresh fine chopped spinach too Garlic powder optional (I add it) Mix all ingredients till well blended refrigerate till needed. This will make enough for about 2 TBSP per crepe. Next time I will make 50% more filling so the manicotti are fuller more plump. Use your favorite sauce. Add some sauce to the bottom of the pan add manicotti then some more sauce on top. Cook at 350f for 20 mins lightly covered with foil then 20mins more no foil.
  21. Great job CK. You do make so great pizza's.
