  1. That does look interesting, free shipping over $35 too! It’d be good to see how this burns in a Kamado. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  4. Wow that’s a great looking pizza!! I’ve recently gained access to the members area and been reading through some of the old posts. I noticed in some that Dennis mentioned that he would be producing baking steels for the KK’s, did anything ever eventuate from this?

  6. Hey MacKenzie, steam buns are really easy to make, a lot easier than I thought they were going to be! The pork belly is off of season 3 of Steven Raichlens project smoke, it was superb too.

  14. Thanks for all the advice guys, I’ve just transferred the $$ across, it’s just got very real and super exciting!!!! As for accessories, I’ve gone minimal with just the basket splitter, I would have loved to have gone nutts but for now that’s all the minister of war and finance would approve! I’ve got a good supplier of charcoal here too which I get for cost price so I can’t complain there, I’d love to try the coco char and coffee wood but that’ll have to come later. I’m just looking forward for that day I finally get the call to say it’s being delivered, exciting times ahead!!
  15. Thanks everyone, it’s been a dream to own a KK for a few years now, I still can’t quite believe that it’s nearly a reality! Definitely going to make sure that the camera is at the ready on delivery day! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Hi All, So after much debate and deliberation, i finally decided that now's the time to pull the trigger on a KK. I've been speaking with Dennis over the past few weeks and my KK is in production right now. In the end i decided to go with a BB32 in Olive Gold pebble, Dennis was kind enough to send a sneak pic of the tiles through, to say i'm excited is an understatement!
  17. Thanks for posting the link mate! It’s a funny old life hey, especially when the bad things happen. I’ve been very fortunate in my life to be able to travel and live in multiple countries and experience some amazing things. Most of it has been positive, which I am very grateful for. Those negative experiences were obviously bad at the time, but they had yielded very positive opportunities out of it. It looks like this is the case here where the loss of your bike has yielded the positive opportunity to get a KK and experience another type of joy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. Wow that is very generous, I wouldn’t mind pinching a tablespoon or two to get an idea what it’s all about Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I’m a massive fan of the Kakadu plum sauce, me and the wife make home made samosas and curry puffs, can’t beat a drop of that on either of them! I’m definitely gonna have to get some of this purple crack that everyone’s taking about, anywhere good locally that we can pick it up? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. What a great looking cook! It would have certainly warmed you up with the weather we’ve had these past two days! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Good man, Doug is more than willing for you to go across and pick the stuff up, he’s converted his garage into BBQ HQ. The local comps are great, such a lot of fun and all the teams are more than willing to talk about BBQ all day long / night, and maybe have 1 or 2 drinks for good measure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. He runs the store out of his home, he’s got a really nice selection of fuels / rubs / smoking wood and all sorts of other goodies. My team is called Boreshank Redemption, we won grand champion in the 2015 smokin in the city Comp and have had some good results since in other comps. The other guys are competing this weekend in chidlow. We’re pretty spread out in terms of geography, our furthest north members are in Yanchep and our furthest south member lives in Rockingham and the rest of us are in between. 24. If you guys NOR want to try something different then Doug, one of my BBQ team owns BBQs if the world, he regularly has lots of different charcoals in stock, he’s in Landsdale. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
