  1. Sorry for your troubles, but that brisket looks great. Im curious however, how much did that brisket weigh pre-cook?
  2. All of that just looks outstanding. Thanks for taking us through that cook!!!
  3. The picture with the 23 and 32 really shows how much bigger the 32 is. Beautiful KK's. Can't wait to see you cook on them!
  4. Wow! The pebble stone is BEAUTIFUL. Congratulations!!!
  5. You bet it will, tinyfish. I'll get there. My plan is to put away my work related expense report reimbursement cash in a KK designated pot. I'll eventually sell my KJ Big Joe - and BAM! Just a matter of a few months.
  6. It's a difficult task tinyfish. I know what I want, just accepting donations and saving up to pay for the thing. I'll get there one day!
  7. Thanks for keeping me out of trouble, Benton! Ckreef - pipe down .
  8. I don't live THAT far away to be a taste tester Gofrogs! That looks great and will have to prepare something similar. Moinks are hard to beat, but these turtle eggs are perfect for a campout breakfast!!!
  9. We go with the Nathan's All Beef bun length franks here. I'm going to give the spiral cut a go next time around. That looks interesting! Thanks for sharing.
  10. Hi, Jaxx. Good to see you over here. I went through the mind games as well, but for me, I'm going with the 23" first. I really don't see having a need for the 32", but that's just me. The Big Joe has been perfect for my larger grilling/smoking needs. After some discussion on this forum, the added cooking shelves that the 23" includes will suit me just fine. You might have a different opinion. I've got the extender rack for the Big Joe, but I've only used that a couple of times. I do, however, use both the Big Joe and the Jr. for several cooks at the same time. I'll hang on to the Jr. until I can add to the KK collection WAY down the road - looking at the 19" for that purpose. Heck, I haven't even ordered the first KK yet!!! One day. Just here to do some research and am green with envy saving a few bucks here and there.
  11. That's what I'm thinking, tinyfish. The work surface would need to be much larger. I, like you, would look to a ss insert for the hot items. I think that's a great idea. I'd like to have some good storage too - limit my trips to/from the garage when the key items are stored right there. I do have two small pieces of granite left over from when our kitchen countertops were built (the sink cutouts). I could always use those I guess.
  12. GoFrogs, can't wait to view your setup either. You went with a different color, didn't you?
  13. Tucker, a 16" table top could go right on top of the table . That looks gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your setup. As you can read, I'm considering to EVENTUALLY have a 23" and 19". First comes the 23" and table.
  14. That's what I was thinking after our conversation yesterday. It would be a great setup for me and my family. I really want some nice shelving to store the extras.
  15. I'll boil hot dogs during a crawfish boil for the kids that don't eat crawfish. I admit, I'll eat a couple of those!
  16. I certainly hope you show off your new setup. I'm curious how that table will look! I've decided that I'm going to go with the 23" and would like to order a table. What I have in mind may be to also have a lower shelf to place my KJ Jr. on, and then one day purchase a 19" table top. I do flip flop between the two 19" offerings, but that might work just fine!!!
  17. Hot dogs are MUCH better grilled in my opinion. It's quite a lengthy process to fire up a Kamado for just a few dogs, but worth every second. Just my opinion.
  18. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your table. You've got the custom table with the SS insert on the way, correct?
  19. Hogsfan received his new KK - and what a beautiful cooker it is. Hopefully he will show off his first cook in short order. I'm ready for the next one, so who is next? Yes - I am living vicariously through you all.
  20. That's a beautiful KK. Congratulations again. Looking forward to reading about your first cook - and happy birthday!
  21. I see you've got the shiny KK and a Cub Scout! We are still plugging along as a Webelo 2. Congratulations again!
  22. Glad you've got that outlook, Bosco. Keep on keepin' on.
  23. Wilburpan's post stirred the nest, no doubt about it. I loved reading the information that Wilbur posted - and always do. Dennis follows it up with some great information for a prospective buyer to read. I see the difference, but again, good information for me folks! I can't wait until I reach "order date" status. It may very well kill me.
  24. Today is the day Hogsfan. Have fun!
