Be careful what you wish for. I have a buddy who recently moved there for the warm weather, inexpensive living and good food and whatever other benefits might derive. He has found healthcare lacking considerably and that environment is such that good healthcare is essential! Go visit and take plenty of DEET.

Good to my eyes!

You should have seen the jungles in Vietnam everything either crawled, slithered or flew and the ones that flew were filing flight plans, soooo many bugs and they all wanted a piece of you...

OMG! I would have had a heart attack! I do not like spiders, and yes, I know they provide a function in the greater scheme of things but not in my scheme... When you have your glasses off and are taking a shower and a thing descends from the ceiling right in front of you and you suddenly realize that the black dot is a spider the shower panic would be recordable on a seismometer !!

I cleaned the BB32 today and found another 2 holes so there is an option of which direction to install the burner brace. It seems sort of funny because the burner assembly fits into the mounts very snugly without rattle.

This is interesting!

If I need to be very accurate in grinding angles I use my Tormek system. https://www.sharpeningsupplies.com/Tormek-C101.aspx?gclid=CLq07rCm4NECFYRnfgodT1cCEw

Here are the holes for burner mounting, which obviously escaped my attention even when I took the photograph.

Sure looks like it! Someone has good taste

That series of photos that Bosco Posted are good examples of what color contrasts can do, especially since they are all in home settings with the various backgrounds. Against the forest give one look, against a brick wall gives a completely different look than against the shingle wall, etc. Tough choice!

That was my first thought, especially if you joined them with tables!! It would be beautiful.

I realized that the new KK was going to be larger than the old one and the BB32 being such a large dominant thing might overpower (color wise) the 23 you already own. If you were going smaller I would get the black pebble but going larger then maybe a lighter (only slightly lighter) color might be good. It just depends on how dominant you want the BB32 to be.

That thought was always on my mind. So, i made a 150,000 gallon reservoir (15ft deep) and alway had 30 minutes of air in a scuba tank sitting close to the pond in an outbuilding so i could jump in and let the fire crown. I also had a bulldozer and maintained 2 exit roads down the mountainside on 2 different slopes, a south slope and a north slope. The only thing better would have been a helicopter From that location I could walk, ride motorcycle, etc. 80 miles north, 35 miles east and 6 miles south without hitting another paved road or public road, only logging roads and not many of those. We had bear, deer, mountain lion, bobcat, martin, fox and all manner of small things and flying things. Grouse quail and pigeon were all edible and when the pigeons had been stuffing themselves on blackberries they were pretty tasty.

I have to go with JonB's Matte Black Pebble suggestion. It is very neutral in color and blends into the shadows AND does not show soot.

I shot more gophers with that gun than anything else, but we did live in the middle of nowhere. You could never be sure what was going to pop out of the bushes, some amusing and some not so amusing. Main home, guest house and sauna.

That looks like a nice utility stove! I lived without electricity for 20 years, in the woods, so there was a supply of fuel as well as game if necessary. I ended up using solar panels for 12VDC television and radio and chargers. Worked great with no complaints from me. This was all cast iron firebox and oven and top grill, doors and warming shelf and the rest was just porcelain enameled steel. Great stove, and it too was NOT portable. The green heater had 2 cooking grates on top and it too was all cast iron., as well as a fireplace.

Thanks Dennis, in my haste to get a fire going and the first cook I did not notice 2 small holes in the bottom of the firebox. Now to get out the vacuum and clean those holes (and maybe make an easy to remove plug for them) and try the burner at least as a fire lighter. The next question is how to light the burner with a charcoal basket in place, or does the basket need to be removed before lighting the burner?

Still waiting for a call back from Dennis....

There are no corresponding holes in the side tables either Tony. I will call Dennis to see what he says.

Thanks Tony, big fluffy couch potato is not what is needed, more like little tiger is what LuluBelle needs:-) -

Thanks She was spayed and had an allergy skin test so the patches of missing fur have grown back now. She is really smart and is trained in 2 languages and hand signals AND colors. Yep, they are color blind but she knows red, blue, yellow, green, black & white. She also knows the names of her toys and what color they are. It has been fun training a dog this smart. Siamese kitty, Maine Coon kitty? Suggestions? -

We have been thinking about getting a kitten for our big puppy as a companion but it would have to be a feisty breed to take on a German Shepherd female (19mo old) 82 pounds. She loves to play and can totally wear us out. -
Another 2 cents... Having the biggest one you can afford and the space for it means that you can throttle it down for small fires or visa versa. The Basket Splitter works very well to control the charcoal consumption. I have a fire on one side of the KK and can either sear or move the food over to a cooler part of the grill cook things slower. The 16TT has the advantage of being somewhat portable.

I tried to fit it as many places as possible. Initially I thought it was something for the gas burner but could not come up with a way to attach it there either.
