  1. I actually felt my heart break when Dennis said he didn’t have any to add onto my grill order!
  2. I went with a fireboard and bought a bbq guru pit viper fan. I like it because the temp probes have a high temp rating, they don’t break the bank, the head unit has a built in battery, it has variable speed ability and it has a waterproof case.
  3. @chris hale I don’t mean to sound nuts, but once the coco char gets back into stock maybe splitting a pallet?
  4. Make sure to ask what kind of vehicle will be delivering! I was told a 24’ to 26’ box truck... NOT 24’ TO 26’. BUT some cash and he actually pushed it up the drive way with some help and was willing to roll it on plywood to the back side of my house, until the pallet jacks’ wheels got stuck.
  5. Congrats, being scared will evaporate once you get that tracking number I don’t mean to add more to your plate but have you figured out where it is going and how your going to move it there? Did you order a cabinet or table? If you did will everything fit? Don’t want to be Debbie downer but I think the moving it and if everything would fit was keeping me up more than anything else. I was going to have my landscaper come over with a skid steer and forks but after measuring it, I was 3 inches shy for the tracks so I had to rethink my plan. Best to figure everything out before so once it arrives you can just take pictures, unpack and cook some amazing food! P.s. if you slack on pictures like I did, the members here won’t go too hard on you if post pictures of cute animals. Also depends on who you talk to in here but I have heard your color cooks better than others. One weekend we might have to finally put this myth to bed.
  6. @Pequod you beat me to it! @chris hale coffee smoking wood! Grill grabbers? like I said if your ever in the area and want to come and take a look shoot me a PM and stop and buy I have a fridge full of beer and we can whip something up to eat. I can promis you will LOVE IT!
  7. @DennisLinkletter darn it, I have been trying to take shots that will be good for Instagram. Didn’t even think about the bottoms, will keep that in mind. I know how awesome would a matching terra blue 22” tabletop on a teak cabinet cut to fit my 32” on the right with butcher block top covered by a Dennis designed teak pergola look in my backyard?
  8. @chris hale did you make a decision? I can promise you all the praise these cookers and Dennis gets for his products and customer service doesn’t do it justice!
  9. Thanks everyone. Working with Dennis and finally seeing what all the hype about I am a customer and believer for life! Everyone being so hopeful and friendly is just icing on the cake.
  10. Thanks @MacKenzie, it is so much more then I could of hoped for!
  11. Dennis just emailed some photos of my cabinet being built. After some deliberation I went with a right side 2 drawer 2 door cabinet with 2 full slides out the left for charcoal and smoking wood and 3 full slide outs to fit my 32” kk grills and other neat stuff. Stainless top and stainless lined drawers on castors. I wanted a full teak end grain butcher block top but after talking with Dennis decided on stainless top and he is going to make end grain board for me instead. I can’t say it enough working with Dennis is a very refreshing transaction! Hopefully it will be unloaded in a month or so. No matter how long it takes it is well worth the wait and every penny it cost!
  12. I missed a few words and auto-correct took care of making me look like and idiot.
  13. My thoughts exactly @5698k, I am 35 so I could by and egg for same $3000 with table and accessories. Let’s just say I can 10 years out of it. If I plan to say live to 100 I have 65 years to go. We’ll divide that by, 6.5 years now times by $3000... $19500 about double what I payed for my 32”, table and accessories.
  14. Yes I got it and I love it. I started a new thread called 32” terra blue. With arring, unpacking and setup photos. Did I say I love it? This was worth every penny! As for things I should of gotten when I ordered it. Maybe just another charcoal basket and the double drip pan. But I’ll order at least the double drip pan this winter. These things are a absolutely amazing. I cooked huli huli chicken when it arrived and even going to 175 on accident it was still extremely moist. If you want to stop over and see one let me know. You will not be disappointed. Guys are giving me crap at work and saying you can get a green egg for a lot cheaper. But there is plenty of stories of those having shorter life spans. I am a firm believer of paying once, crying over it once and enjoying for the rest of my life. Also @DennisLinkletter is an amazing guy to work with!
  15. Pulled pork Sunday’s! Local grocery store had picnic shoulders on sale. started with Then pulled my shoulder out after resting in salt Setup my KK have I said how much I can’t wait for my cabinet! And how much I love my KK! Used meatheads Memphis dust rub Started the smoker going with Apple, hickory and jack Daniels chips Waited about 10 hours Fireboard dinged 203 degrees!!! And the most important part... now my wife realizes why KK’s are worth every penny! here is the graph of the cook. Didn’t judge my charcoal amount and ran out in the middle of the stall
  16. Thanks @MacKenzie my wife says it’s too green and we need some color. In my opinion we added a big beautiful KK of color
  17. I have mine less than 72 hours and I am trying to figure out how to get another... I think my 32” would look awesome with a left cabinet with the same options as my custom right side but add a shelf for a 22” hi-cap table top So I opened up my cold smoker for the pork shoulder cook.
  18. @tekobo 3:30 am but it was for work and not to bask in all the KK glory. But I did have a huge smile on my face when I looked out the back window at my KK. thanks @Bruce Pearson I honestly couldn’t be happier with this cooker and all of the great things that come with it. @DennisLinkletter yep I am left handed that’s why we did left table and right side cabinet.
  19. I haven’t opened the stone, cold smoker or rotisserie yet. As I use them for cooking I’ll take some pictures. Beverage of choice for unpacking and set up was Polamas and water. For dinner I made huli huli chicken, grilled pineapple, cilantro garlic corn and butter garlic soup vide shrimp. Everything received a healthy dose of purple crack and it was cooked over full circle lump charcoal. I received a round of applause from my wife and her friend the dogs gave me big puppy dog eyes which turned into growling because no table scraps. Sorry I didn’t give any descriptions with the pictures but I am dead tired and sunburnt. I will try to do a better job for the pizzas tomorrow and the pork shoulder on Sunday. thanks again to everyone on here for the advice and gentle ribbing and a big thanks to Dennis! It feels like I bought the best damn grill around and it came with a weird family to boot.
  20. I am a tease... between unpacking it, cleaning it, moving it, dinner and running errands for my 96 grandmother I haven’t sat down and posted anything. But once I get a few seconds of down time I’ll give everyone their “fix.” Unless everyone wants to wait for the table in a monthish and you can get the full experience? i will say my father and uncle helped move it and they wouldn’t stop ranting and raving how amazing and well built everything is! Then we opened the shipping crate and their jaws hit the floor! @DennisLinkletter Mad respect and thanks for all the help, can’t wait to see the covers, table and cutting board!
  21. My BS tries following me home from work
  22. T-minus 4 hours and 50 minutes or so but who’s counting
