  1. I bought a couple of sacks of Fogo Argentinean Quebracho Lump via their website. The Fedex folks delivered the two boxes to the front porch as expected. I grabbed the dolly and took them to the shop to put them away. I opened the first box and look what was staring me in the face! You ever see one of these grills?
  2. A new rule requires additional personnel to be hired to enforce it. It is an economic stimulus action to create jobs.
  3. Ok, 3 chickens on a stick! Now I know why I am leaning toward getting a 32!
  4. Tyrus, I am betting you are right that it cannot replace the real deal liquid. As a parallel, I am reminded of instant coffee. But as a dry rub, maybe this powder has some merit?? Hoping someone out there has tried it as such and can give us some feedback.
  5. That is interesting - I too was not aware that it existed. Here's a Spice Lab photo borrowed from Amazon. The reviews tout it as a great candidate for a rub component and/or other uses. I now have some on order!
  6. Very much looking forward to your side by side of the outcome! Thanks for the shot of the smoker at work.
  7. Perhaps they have a different diameter/capacity on the wheels? From Dennis' comment here, the 32" grill has 4" diameter wheels. I have some 4" high capacity casters on some machine tools and they roll quite well when needed.
  8. How easy is the 32 to roll on a patio (smooth concrete with an expansion joints)? I am imagining moving one 15 feet from time to time.
  9. Thanks Pequod for the photo and stooping low to get it! That gives me a better understanding of what's under there there. The casters, their capacity, and overall dimensions define their capability to roll over some uneven surfaces. For example, tiled plywood sheets leading the path across a garden/yard to its new quarters. Do you know if the axles have grease fittings?
  10. I am studying 32" grills and looking for some detail on the casters/wheels used. From my searches, I understand they are installed in a cavity in each foot and do not have brakes. Are all four rotating casters? What are the wheel diameters? I have found that they are high density rubber and galvanized steel carriers. Can someone lead me to a photo of them? Thanks in advance for the help.
  11. OKAY Pequod, you hooked me with the "pebbles are superior" bait! I even did a search! Thanks for the welcome btw.
  12. Joining in as an enthusiast. I own many grills - kamados (SOBs), wood burners, charcoal burners, and yes, one gas grill. I am beginning my studies on KK and trying to decide which one I might spring for. I have a decent spot for one and now on to learning more about it so I could "buy once". Thanks in advance for the help! Alan Gulf coast of Alabama (Lower Alabama)
