  1. I remain objective up until the point that I glance out my back window and see my crumbling POSK sitting next to my rock solid KK. Objective or not, I am a realist
  2. I think it says more that a person actually got rid of it to buy a KK. But no biggie! -=Jasen=- Well, you're the admin...fix it
  3. Thats the first pick "I used to own a POSK and now I own a KK". I just didnt specify the fate of the POSK
  4. Ok, lets find out: viewtopic.php?p=16028#16028
  5. By request of Greggd, lets see how many converts we can identify
  6. Definitely...I am not feeling like cooking tonight, too. A bag of pulled beef would make some tasty tacos and burritos! I am going to have to comb the warehouse clubs and see what I can find.
  7. lots of pics, my friend. I think I may try one soon - show me how its done
  8. we'll have to confer with Sanny on that
  9. so let me ask the million dollar question, Mr. Whiz... Given that you have several grills from various manufacturers on your patio, an a full buffet of lump in your garage, what has emerged as your "go-to" grill? Which do you use more often? Any particular lump you prefer? Now, dont try to deflect with "each has their own specialty..." You have to have a favorite - what is it?
  10. Did you imagine that, Bobkat? You may not have heard...we have a rule 'round these parts; If there are no pictures, it never happened
  11. Which part would he have been involved in?? The sabotage of computers?? The leaking seals?? It surely wasnt the heat shield tiles...they seem to stay attached at far too high of a rate for him to be involved!
  12. I will have to check locally - hopefully its not a regional item. That way I can see what all the talk is about. ...I hate paying for shipping on such small items
  13. All POSK's are about to shed. Some just dont know it yet. Mine has loose tile all over, but they have been hanging on so far. As romantic as you can be while smelling smokey and holding a beer in your hand
  14. Come on now, gimme some slack! My KK is Terra blue...thats pretty mainstream, and my POSK will be... err...streaking "Au Natural" in no time BTW, its only pink during romatic sunrises and sunsets
  15. Re: I did it!!! Now, THAT is an upgrade!
  16. I liked the PC on a monkey better one better Majestik was re-opening some old jabs at PC there, bobket. Nothing personal. BTW, be careful ever posting pictures of your face
  17. Those times sound about right. As with any low/slow BBQ, let the meat tell you when its done. I would plan for up to 90 minutes a pound when loading lump and such, and see how long it takes. If you read through some of those threads, you will find people reporting the chuck roll is quite forgiving. I think it was Mike (Majestik) who had a fire get away on him, and said it turned out great, even though his temp ran away up to something like 350 degrees. (He was using a POSK )
  18. It is indeed a V shaped roasting rack that I invert to hold ribs. If you dont have one that came in a roasting pan, you can pick then up at places like bed, bath and beyond for about $12-15. Works way better than any rib rack I have found, too.
  19. Wow, that post reads like some of the spam I get! The slide show is almost as fun as trying to punch the monkey on the little banner ads, too
  20. We'll get along just fine Not far away at all - let me know when you are over this way! So how did that butt turn out? How many hours did it take? Wheres the "after" pics?
  21. Hey Dennis, why are you wearing a kingsford apron?? Nice looking meal (and family, too). Say, do you have any idea where all of that teak furniture came from?
  22. Leejp, great minds must think alike It looks like you might type faster than I do, though!
  23. Looking tasty! Mopping every hour Thats alot of mopping for a KK cook. That kind of attention may be required on a steel cooker, but with ceramics, it not necessary to be that attentive. Generally speaking, the fewer times you open the cooker, the better. One of the hardest things to learn when you move to ceramics is the old saying..."if you are looking, you arent cooking!" If you really feel the need to mop...I would recommend doing it only once or twice. Maybe at about 6 hours, and another at about 12 hours.
  24. Something tells me that if RJ is as close as he seems, since he is using Topo (who likely did not relocate to Singapore) Dennis will have no shortage of zeal to enforce it
