  1. On amazingribs.com, they say that boiling ribs is giving in to terrorists!
  2. I'm a bit confused. Is this the new baking stone? Otherwise, I thought the round one was the pizza stone and the KK shaped one was the heat deflector. Have I been cooking on the wrong one?
  3. For what it's worth, I have the 19" as well and I love it. I got the stand and it is over engineered and beautiful like the KK itself. If you have the floor space, it works well. You can easily roll it around and lock the wheels whenever you need to move it.
  4. I may be an outlier, but I actually prefer a less heavy duty drip pan. The drip pan is something that we actually have to remove and clean quite a bit, so something light and easy to handle is more practical - even if it needs to be replaced a bit more often. That's my 2 cents!
  5. Congrats on the KK and the prime rib looks amazing! What was in the wet rub?

Tri-tip may have the best flavor to cost ratio.
  7. I just received my KK 19" Tabletop in Autumn Gold Pebble. Now I understand why everyone posts about their delivery like it is a baby being born - it is! I have to say - as great as they look in pictures, the real KK is so much better in person. It is truly a thing of beauty. The 19" is a total beast of a grill - I can't even imagine what its larger versions feel like. The tile colors pop even more than the photos. I can only appreciate in person the unbelievable engineering put into this. The perfect fit of the cover and latch parts, the counterbalancing spring, the BBQ guru ports, the elastomeric grout, the overload of accessories and parts... Dennis thought of everything! This was a big investment for me, but it feels completely worth it. I haven't done my break-in cook yet, but will be sure to post in the future. Here is a photo of the KK in its new home. I haven't figured out whether I will put this on a table - My first choice is to hold out for the stainless steel stands. I look forward to joining the legions of KK fanatics!
  8. Happy Thanksgiving to Dennis, the KK team, and the forum posters!

    KK Wall Thickness

Thank you, Enif420! This is a big help!

    KK Wall Thickness

Thanks, Dennis. I figured that the BBQ Guru port would be the same size on all of the KK's, but maybe not? I didn't want to bother you further on this - I know I've had more than my share of questions!
  11. All, I have ordered my KK - the brand new 19.5" table-top Li'l Isla! I can't wait for arrival. I am doing a custom project for KK cooking and temperature control. I know what you're asking - why? It's too long of a story to start now. But I promise to post all pics and details when I'm done. Can someone a favor for me? Can you measure the diameter of the BBQ Guru port and also the thickness of the KK wall at the BBQ guru port? I didn't know what size and length of pipe needs to go through the port. Many many thanks in advance - can't wait to be a full fledged KK cooker!
  12. Dennis, just wondering if there's anything you can tease us with in terms of ETA, design, or photos of the new 19.5" KK?
