Fetzervalve Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 A few weeks ago we had a major ice storm come through Iowa. The Mrs. put a pot full of oven stew in to cook for about 4 hours. Well, about 2 hours later the power went out..... so, I fired up the KK and put the stew into a roaster pan with lid and finished it on the deck in an ice storm. The happy surprise was that the stew had a hint of that lump smoke that made it even better than we had expected. Next time perhaps we'll skip the oven and go KK from the start.
twharton Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 We are having a blast of Arctic air here in Gulf Breeze, FL as I write this at the beginning of this Easter weekend. Current temperature....64 degrees...BRRRRR!!!
Firemonkey Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 It is damn cold in the peninsula, too! I had to close a few windows last night! The skiers on the lake even look chilly
Fetzervalve Posted April 6, 2007 Author Report Posted April 6, 2007 DJ, where is the button to block the damned Florida crew?? We are looking at a high in the 30's this weekend - and a chance of snow!
Farmer John Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Enough of the winter Newest weather update is calling for 4 inches of snow and temps in the 20's at night. Heck it was 80 a week ago! All the blossoms are out on the pear and apple trees along with all the flowers. Looks like the will bite the dust! I guess I'll hug Budda the KK for warmth!
LeadDog Posted April 7, 2007 Report Posted April 7, 2007 All I know is that it was nice and warm here today. It must of been 85°F.
PaulR Posted April 7, 2007 Report Posted April 7, 2007 Been raining down here (way down South in Sydney)... Planned to play golf but got rained out (still about 80F so shouldn't complain)

DavidS Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 Thanks it has Koi and goldfish. My wife and I paid to have the pond dug due to our great clay soil. We did the rest of the work. We can sit on the desk and cook on the KK and enjoy the pond.
