Ickkey Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 My new toy showed up in the driveway this morning and it's been pouring rain ever since the driver left. It's killing me that I can't open her up and play. Hopefully it will stop raining soon so I can get her unpacked and put on the back patio before the wife gets home. Will try to take some pic's if it clears up later. Real BUMMER!
mguerra Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 go Rain won't hurt it, nor you. Put on your raingear and get after it.
seanwiley Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 exact same thing happened to me earleir this summer. Wife though I was crazy trying to fiddle with it during the rain & thunder. But hey, the first day only happens once......
Ickkey Posted August 29, 2009 Author Report Posted August 29, 2009 Well I was able to get it unpacked in the rain and take a few pics in between the showers today. I must say I love the tile and the color. It has a lot of depth and looks beautiful! I can't wait to start doing some grilling. Hopefully the weather will be a little better this weekend.
gerard Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 Damn. You have more grass packed into a few square feet than I do in my whole yard. Bet you must water/fertilize/mow or something. Very nice.
Ickkey Posted August 29, 2009 Author Report Posted August 29, 2009 I do fertilize, but I think it's from all the rain we've been getting......
scouterpf Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 Those of us that live on the US north shore have had rain and more rain this summer. This morning Rochester, NY has still more rain, yes, I do believe that the grass grow more abundant with each drop. Our 'dragon's egg' looks much like yours. Enjoy
cruzmisl Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 Looks nice! I like the "stone" look. Get a raincoat and get out there and start cooking something.
Conodo12 Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Congratulationa Ickkey! That KK looks great!!
Ickkey Posted August 31, 2009 Author Report Posted August 31, 2009 Thanks a lot fellas, I finally got to cook on her this weekend. Done an 8lb pork shoulder. Started late Saturday night and ended late Sunday afternoon about a 16 hour cook a true low and slow cook. Very impressed with the cooker which seemed to be more efficient than my Viking ceramic. Truly love the quality of my new KOmodo. Look forward to picking up some extra accessories for her........
Curly Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 Oh no...it got wet. I'm sure Dennis will get another one out to ya pretty quick. When can I pick up the damaged one?
