Pizza again

Jasen,

My question is when used as an upper grill with the short handles up (not inverted as a sear grill and on the firebox) would this cause pizza stone problems in this design?

Jasen,

Good question! Not with my pizza stone as it is not large enough. I am unsure of the dimensions of the upper grill and the stone that comes with the KK. But if he shortens the handle verses bending it in, then it would be no different that what he has now.

So Dennis, does the pizza stone still fit on the upper grill?

Dennis is not keeping everyone Happy with his improvements making his already the best cooker in the world better and BETTER. He may cause some divorce's when someone like me wants to order all of them.:lol:

Very nice all of your improvements. :D

Re: 1/4" upper/sear grills

When can we order the upper/ sear grill?

I love skirt steaks seared real close to the fire.

I have 1/4" upper/sear grills in stock in Atlanta...

$64 + postage.

Dennis,

This the upper that I want - I'm guessing that's what you had in mind.

Upper/Sear Grill

The handles are now larger to make the grill more stable inverted down below.. Using gloves is a must in this situation..

Dennis, awesome design. Loven it!

Jasen, I know I'm late, hush up, hehe-he; but I like the static leg design too.

Haha, only a year this time! But I agree with you, this thing works fantastic and gets as much or maybe more usage as my main grill (since is is a sear grill too).

Works great for searing way up top too, near the roof of the lid, this is where I cooked a split duck the other night. Skin was crispy as can be!

Cooked some kabobs another night along with some(gasp ) vegetables.

So far haven't burned anything outside of a pizza that should have been taken off when I said" maybe two more minutes".
