wilburpan Posted October 28, 2014 Report Posted October 28, 2014 I had mentioned that on my first baby back rib cook that I was surprised as to the meatiness of the ribs. We ate ribs with our friends Saturday night, and we gave them a rack to take home with them. We ate leftover ribs last night. Tonight we needed to do something different. Step one: pull the meat off the ribs. I was surprised how easily the meat came off, even though these leftover ribs had been sitting in the fridge since Saturday night. Step two: quesadillas. We still have enough leftover ribs for at least one meal, maybe two.
CeramicChef Posted October 28, 2014 Report Posted October 28, 2014 Wilbur - great idea for leftovers! Buddy, talk about Outside The Box thinking!
tony b Posted October 28, 2014 Report Posted October 28, 2014 Use pulled pork for a lot of things - pizza, omelets, fried rice, but never thought about using rib meat. Good call, Wilbur! Got some leftover ribs in the fridge - Hmmm, what can we use them for tonight??
DennisLinkletter Posted October 31, 2014 Report Posted October 31, 2014 We make grilled cheese and rib sandwiches for the kids.. Super popular. I recently cooked a pork butt to 180 so it would not be stringy.. Sai has been using it in her Thai dishes with great success. Thanks for the post Wilbur.. 1
