DavidS Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 Here is a picture of the 8 inch cradle I received. It appears that the hold down clamps will clamp smaller foods down well. I have not gotten my order placed as yet for the KK parts so I cannot try it yet. May be a little while headed to AZ for a couple of weeks pretty soon.
ThreeDJ16 Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 Very nice! So why are there 4 clamps? Is it large enough to handle 4 boston butts? -=Jasen=-
DavidS Posted September 30, 2006 Author Report Posted September 30, 2006 I don't think it would hold 4 big butts. Should be no problem holding a couple of 8 pounders. It came with the 4 clamps. You can get all four on the cradle and use different angles to hold things down. It will be a while before I get to use it.
DennisLinkletter Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 Here you go 6" vs 8" Here you go 6" vs 8"... As you can see the 6" size really holds/cradles/cuddles the chicken tight.. 8" is larger than you would expect.. Makes a bird feel small.. Did I say that?
Sanny Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 So, Dennis, you're saying that size does matter, after all? (Better make your psychotherapy appts now, boys. Apparently what the ladies have told you for years is all lies!)
DennisLinkletter Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 Did I just write that? So, Dennis, you're saying that size does matter, after all? (Better make your psychotherapy appts now, boys. Apparently what the ladies have told you for years is all lies!) No, I'm not.. Actually a guy with a 6" cradle said that! Did I just write that? Jasen aren't you supposed to be deleting and censoring this?
ThreeDJ16 Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 You got yourself into this mess - so don't look at me. BTW, I am in the 8' cradle group - hehe! -=Jasen=-
Sanny Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 How many times do we have to tell you? It's not the size of the cradle, but the motion of the rotisserie that makes the difference! Well, that, and the quality of the cooker.
DennisLinkletter Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 As I said.. How many times do we have to tell you? It's not the size of the cradle, but the motion of the rotisserie that makes the difference! Well, that, and the quality of the cooker. As I said, a guy with a little cradle made that up!
