My first twirly cook yesterday. Two 4lb chickens brined in 2 gallons (1g apple cider and 1g water) + 1.5 c salt and 1.5 c sugar. Cooked exactly 2 hours @ 325.

The juiciest thing I've ever put in my mouth. Thanks Dennis!

OMG those look good! I cannot wait to be able to cook those thing! Jeez you are making me sooo jealous.

Just curious, have any of you ever tried that Cajun Magic BBQ flavor season? Looks like it would be good in this cooking setup!

What size rotisserie is that? 6 or 8? Was the skin as crsipy as it looks???

Hmmm 325 for 2 hours? I do 1 chook at around 300 for 90 minutes; we must have smaller poultry?

Great photos!

Basket Size

I got the 8 in basket. The inserts came from Dennis...the folks at EZ-Q were a great help. I paid $150 for the basket, 4 holders and the motor.

I usually cook for 90 minutes but lowered the temp and increased. The skin was juicy when fresh off. These chickens were unbelievably succulent and brining with the apple juice gave a nice sweet flavor. I have never been a white meat fan. Too dry for my taste but these birds were juicy juicy and I am a white meat fan now. After the cooled the skin was a little rubbery.

I have the parts from E-Z Que. The shafts I received from Dennis would not work in my OTB. :(

I have had the other cooker :(:(:( . Now I am a HAPPY CAMPER. :):)

OK, what did you just say? We need to get all of the parts from EZQ or what?

No you buy the cradle and motor from E-Z Que and the shafts from Dennis and Tony ship's the the shafts to you.

The shafts I received from Tony would not work, one was to long and the other to short. I am waiting on the replacements. Sorry for any confusion.

David, you may want to touch base with Dennis, I have not shipped any shafts out lately, not sure if I even have the ones you need but if I do I will send them out if Dennis sends me the info.

I am also waiting on the EZ-Que shafts from Dennis. My OTB got to Colorado in perfect shape but I didn't get the gas accessory nor the shafts. I can't use it anyway because I have a foot of ice where I plan to put the cooker but do I hope I hear something soon because they just installed the heat tape and gutters that will keep the ice from building up leave only snow to deal with. It won't take long to get rid of the ice and I'll be ready to start cooking pretty quick.
